  1. Internet and drink package discounts usually happen around 90 days out. Make sure they have your email address, and you might get a notification. I've seen Internet @ 20% off and Internet and a drink package together @ 25% off. If you haven't already, I would join crown & anchor.

Just be aware the availability of discounts is unpredictable.

    Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks! I'm a member of Crown & Anchor. I'll start looking for emails around Christmas. Maybe they'll do a Christmas or New Year's deal!

  2. I'm going on my second ever cruise on Navigator of the Seas at the beginning of March, next year. It's a 9 day Caribbean cruise and I can't wait. I went on a 7 day Alaskan cruise last summer and it was beautiful but I can't wait to leave winter behind and go to the Caribbean! Anyway, I bought the Internet package before going on the Alaskan cruise and got a pretty good deal but I don't remember how close to the cruise I purchased it. I checked the Internet package for this cruise and I have $200 in onboard spending cash so that's nice but I still want to get the best deal that I can. Will there be deals on the Internet the closer to sailing? Last time I think I got something like 30% off but I know they were hyping their new Internet onboard. Do they still offer deals occasionally or does it not really matter when I purchase it?Thanks!! :)

  3. Hi there! I'm going on my second cruise, next March. We're going on Navigator of the Seas on a 9 day Southern Caribbean cruise. One of the stops is Curaçao and RC has an excursion to swim with dolphins. I've wanted to do this for a long time but I wondered if anyone else has experienced this in Curaçao? It doesn't look like it's as in depth as other dolphin excursions as there's no swimming with them or having them push you, which is disappointing to me. I just wonder if it's worth the $150.00! Thanks!!

  4. I'm leaving on The Radiance Alaskan cruise next Fridsy after a 4 day land tour. We fly into Fairbanks on Monday. We purchased the one device VOOM Internet. Some people say the connection is spotty because of the mountains but I hope to be able to get some internet connection, especially at night when I'm trying to relax. I'll try and remember to find this post and let you know how my connection was.

  5. JVilleGal, wow!! That's really nice! We're spending two days in Fairbanks and two days in Denali before going to Anchorage and then Seward to board the ship. I know it's colder in Denali so I think I'm prepared for that. My shirts I'm taking aren't heavy but the sleeves are a little bit longer. Hopefully I won't roast! :)

  6. When do you leave for your cruise? We're leaving on July 22 but doing the land tour first, getting into Fairbanks on the night of the 18, exactly one week from today. I can't believe it's almost here!! How are you doing with your packing? I know I've over packed but it's hard when going to Alaska, plus this is my first cruise.

  7. I wish they had coffee pots, even one cup ones. My mom can't function without her coffee in the morning and we're leaving for our first cruise a week from Monday, on Radiance in Alaska. We're doing the 4 day land tour first. My aunt, who's a seasoned cruiser, told us that you can order coffee the night before and hang the order form on your door and they'll bring it when you want it. Will they bring a whole pot or just a cup or 2? I'd like a cup in the morning as well.

  8. drewsky3, how many shirts did you end up taking with you then? I thought I would take some short sleeved shirts for day, some for dinner, and some that can be for both. It will end up being way more then 7 but they're light, summer shirts. I'm also taking 2 sweatshirts in my checked luggage and a zip up sweatshirt in my backpack to take with me on the land tour part. I have a light jacket/rain jacket that will be in my carry on luggage and I'll take with me on the land excursions and just tie it around my waist if I have to. Would be so much easier if we were going to the Caribbean. LOL!

  9. On July 18, I'm leaving for an Alaskan cruise. We're doing the 4 day land first and then the 7 day cruise, going north on the inside passage. I know what I'm taking for the land tour but I'm having a hard time figuring out what types of shirts to take for the cruise. I don't want to take too many long sleeved tops in case it's warm, plus they take up a lot of room in my suitcase, if I'm not going to wear them. I have quite a few short sleeved top ideas but some of them are more like tshirts and aren't nice enough for dinner. Do I take tshirt type tops to wear during the day (they're from Old Navy if that helps any) and nicer ones to wear at dinner or wear my nicer shirts during the day even though they would look odd under sweatshirts if it's cold out? It doesn't help that this is my first ever cruise so I have nothing to base my outfits on, except what my family members tell me they're taking. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you!!

  10. I found this post when I Googled how to stay on a PCOS diet on a cruise. I go on my first ever cruise, to Alaska, in less than a month. I've been trying really hard to eat better and work out but had only lost about 7 lbs., then my mom and I went away for a couple of days to a casino and I gained 2-3 lbs.. Really don't want to gain a ton of weight on the cruise and be in worse shape then when I started. I'm 37 years old and also have Fibromyalgia so I have to be careful with my workouts as well. Right now when I work out I walk 30 min. and do some weights. It makes me feel good but I can't push it or my Fibro flares. How do I watch what I eat on the cruise and still have a good time? I want to be able to have some dessert and alcoholic beverages but I don't want to gain a bunch of weight back. So hard and frustrating to just not be able to go on vacation and enjoy myself.

  11. Havin'fun, thank you. I have two 3/4 length shirts, a shirt that goes to my elbows, a long sleeved light shirt, and a zip up fleece for the land part. Figured it will probably be a little cooler in Denali. Then I've got short sleeved shirts and two sweatshirts for the cruise. Also a rain jacket, jeans, and capris. Now just to get all of the land tour stuff in my carry on and the rest under the 50 lb. limit. ;)

  12. Marge, thanks! The only things I'll need to move into my carry on will be my makeup and some toiletries. We leave on July 18 and I'm still trying to figure out how to get everything I need for 4 days into my carry on.

  13. Marge, did you have a chance to transfer some of your belongings from your checked bag to your carry on during the first night at the hotel? We're doing a land/cruise tour and there's a couple things that I need to pack into my checked bags for the airport that I can transfer to my carry on once I'm at the hotel.

  14. Thank you soooo much everyone!! So, STAY IN AIRPLANE MODE until the cruise is done or I'm on dry land and need to make a phone call and then put it back on airplane mode! I think I got this! I actually saved this whole conversation in my favorites on my phone just so I could reference it if I needed to! ;)
