When I have used EZAir and there have been flight changes, I get an update of my overall reservation from Princess.

I always shop my air reservations for the best fare and constantly look at what’s happening with schedules. What is booked today is hardly ever the final times 9 months from now.

I believe most if not all beverage and dining packages come with gratuities already factored into the cost across cruise lines.

 

One does not have to tip extra, unless one chooses to do so.

If get a drink before you leave port, I believe you will be charged tax on the drink. That should be the only extra.

So I reserved a balcony on deck 16 yesterday for 1700. Got a phone call from Princess today to finalize the reservation and ended up with a delux on Marina deck for 1300. Same room yesterday was 2200.

Every other year I take a Theme cruise on politics. Last year’s roll call thread was so full of consternation about sharing 3500 passenger ship with 450 to 700 persons with political interests was amazing to watch and read.

And yes, in the late evening we would take over a lounge and have lively discussions. We certainly did not exclude non group cruisers from these discussions. I think many of them that joined us were shocked over the topics and points of view being discussed.

Many times I don’t have an option to fly in early. But only one issue in all my cruises. Memphis was a beautiful pre-Christmas day, but Atlanta was fogged in. Luckily all flights in and out of ATL were delayed, with frequent calls to the cruise carrier, they knew I was in my way, and when I got to FLL. Ended up the last person to board.

No lines no hassle at the ship, got straight to my room to get over the stress of all day.

Yes when you can it’s really cheaper on your mind and body. Here’s hoping my Dec day of flight isn’t a day from Hell this year.

I kept seeming packing cubes advertised but didn’t think they were worth it. Bought new linens for my bedrooms, they come packed in various sized plastic zippered bags. They work great, makes packing easy, as each bag was for specific things once zipped closed that was complete. Morning of travel day, toss each bag into suitcase, out the door.

Thank you! Before solo traveling, I download a new playlist of songs and only listen to those songs on the trip. Then, when I come home, every time I hear the songs they remind me of that particular cruise. It takes me back...ahhh

I have hours of Jimmy Buffet tunes. They keep me in Pirate mode even though the cannons don’t thunder and there is nothing to plunder.

I am on Dec 10 Regal and have not heard I am or am not part of *****. From other forums, cabins above and below mine are part. As I did not get an email saying I was out, I was guessing I was in. [emoji848]

I was told to take a weeks vacation or loose my time. I had 3 weeks to plan. A friend convinced me to take a cruise. I booked 10 days out, Even with 2x solo rate, it was less than I looked at for other options.

Been cruising solo, with friends, family ever since.

Doesn't Princess supply each room with two beach towels anymore? I used those for my shower. Left them on the floor before evening clean up and had new fresh ones for the next day.

My feeling is, the whole advertising campaign was geared toward betting people to buy cruises. The technology of the future on your cruise today. Ha! Ha! Yes I booked my December 2017 Cruise based on getting the Medallion technology. May have booked it without, but I booked by cruise within hours of reading about the technology. I definitely wanted to be a part of the experiment.

I find it odd, that they announce this just after the final payment time for all the 2017 cruises. I may have cancelled if I have been able. Just seems like poor management decisions.

I know I am rambling. I however do feel Princess should have said the first few months would be soft and gradual rollout. I would have been fine with that. If I got a medallion cabin cool. If not oh well. My gut is now telling me this was bait and switch.

I have rebooked through Princess lowering my rate by 100's of dollars. Lost some perks but they weren't worth the reduction in base fare. The handled it happily and quickly. Two days later they called and gave me an upgrade for no additional cost.

I eat a very early breakfast, then grab a coffee and sit on my balcony reading for a while before heading out for the day. In the afternoon, if on the shady side of the ship, I spend more time reading and even a nap. Then at night I just sit and listen to the waves and water.
