  1. We're booked to go on the Independance of the Seas 5/22/21 sailing and it's an 8 night and has not been on the web site for over 4 months to book and probably will not happen.  I'm just confused as our final payment is due on 2-21-21 which is Sunday and I really don't want to pay the final balance when we know it is not going to sail and would like to book a land vacation, so at this point what are our options?  Thanks for any help or guidance anyone can provide.

  2. Thanks to all who have replied on this thread it helped me I think we cruise in 68 days and have a guarantee on a Suite since the prices went so low yeah for me and it only cost a few hundred more for us to switch from a balcony I have a muster station, and did the decoded pass barcode and if it is correct we will be really happy with location and non-connecting room, it matched our class of suite and the muster station that is showing on the setsail.  When it gets assigned I will let you all know if it is correct.

  3. I have tried to read threads on this subject but my question is I just change my stateroom to a Jr Suite Guarantee about a week ago for our Freedom May cruise, since the price was only a few hundred dollars over our balcony price.  The Jr Suites on the site are going quick and only showing about 7 left, my status is still on Guarantee which is fine but does Royals computer system keep track on the number of guarantees out there, I just don't want to end up with no room on board, can anyone explain to me how Royals figures this out?

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Shelby

  4. Hey All:

This will be our first cruise with diamond status.  I just have a few question are the drinks loaded on your sea pass 3 non-alcoholic/alcoholic drinks for the whole cruse or is it 3 per day.  Also the diamond lounge is there happy hour from a certain time at night where you get beer and wine and snacks?  Are there snacks and water that are available all through the day, sorry we have always cruised in a grand suite or above so we have been in suite lounge and coastal kitchen for meals, so just trying to see if Diamond Lounge is similar to the concierge lounge as for as offerings?

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

  5. She will be fine to use both hands at the time we have been through the immobilized shoulder in the slinge for many weeks now so on the ship the surgeon said she will only need a sling to keep her shoulder still at night.  When the concierge contacts us a week prior to the cruise I will let them know about the wheel chair for embarking and dis-embarking  and Jay Hawks fan we are in the cabin right next door to yours.  Thank you all for all the help and suggestions it is much appreciated.

  6. We leave in 3 weeks to board the Allure of the Seas, my mom who is in her 70's fell 3 weeks ago hurt her leg and broke her shoulder.  The Dr's have cleared her to sail.  Here is my question we got her a scooter from Special Needs at Sea she is only 110 lbs so I got the standard one that is 20" wide so that should fit through the door of a regular cabin correct?  We are in a 2 bedroom suite.  Also I need to know do I have to call someone now for a wheel chair at the port or can I just ask a porter for one, she is not fighting me on any of this she said please get me the assistance I need so I can enjoy myself so yeah takes a little stress off of me.  Thanks for any help and experiences anyone can share with me.

  7. It all depends on each and every cruise on what we have done we eat every meal in Coastal Kitchen and we ask for the same wait staff each time and we do tip them at the end of the trip we also tip the chef extra due to food allergies he went out of his way last time to make sure my family had good meals and dessert at every dinner that was safe of their allergies which made my mother and daughters so very happy.  The cruise prior to that they never got a desert with any meal in the main dinning room and were very disappointed.

  8. We have the same 3 allergies with 3 people and we have always been fine in the main dining room, and my girls were ok in the kids club they take food allergies very seriously just be sure to tell the servers before each meal and remind them in the kids club on the nights they will be eating, now the specialty restaurants will be fine, but the cupcakes will be a no go at least they were for us and Johnny Rockets you will need

to check to see if they have the dairy free buns and a grill where there has been no cheese, however I can tell you we will not eat in the windjammer, even though they tell you the safe options we ran into cross contamination as people put the wrong spoons back into something else so just be careful with the buffet, we did all possible meals in the main dinning room when open but dessert was tough most nights there was none other than the fruit which to my kids was not dessert LOL.

  9. My advice having dealt with these allergies plus nuts is when feeding your child from the buffet ask one of the chefs to get him/her a plate with the foods you are requesting from the back so no cross contamination people drop things in the food or put the spoons back in wrong ones, I can say after our first emergency room after a buffet at Disney we have never eaten at a buffet on vacation or at home ever again we always do platted meals and take our epi pens just in case everyone in the party has one with them in the event anything happens. But I have found Royal to be very

    sensitive to food allergies.

  10. This morning I decided to change my balcony room to a Jr Suite Guarantee for our September 2017 Cruise. It was just about $500 difference but with a $200 on board credit we didn't have before so to me only $300 to upgrade. Well about 2 hours later our cabin was assigned and it is a Grand Suite Balcony, which I was shocked about could not believe it, if it wasn't for bad luck I would not have any so I am so happy. First off what are the chances of them changing this on me I am afraid to get excited? And if we stay in that room do we get free wi fi? what about drinks we only have a cocktail at night during the show or up on deck to just relax and reflect on the days events. Any insight for me would be great as we have never been in a Suite in all the cruises we have done.
