Then she brought out the salad to share. Yummmmmm.

It had a light ginger sesame dressing and was just perfect.

    Holy cow.... amazing!

I think we drew a crowd watching it come out to the table. It was that big. And wow, what a beautiful display, too. Check out the carrots even.

I see the menu says 22. Is that 22 pp or 22 for the entire thing??

  2. Inside Tiki Bar...which is really just a large hut, we sat at the bar. The bartender was handing out free margarita shots as he said it was International Margarita day. Hmmm. Never heard of that.

DH ordered a beer, and I ordered something new, and it was yummy!

After we finished our drinks, we decided to move on along the road. That guy was walking around most of the time, then he seemed to go around the corner. Maybe he gave up on us. But also there at Tiki bar, was a guy walking around taking photos of people. Around and around the bar, snap snap snap, but I never once saw him talk to anyone. Then I notice he was behind me...I turned around and stared him in the face. He said nothing and walked off. I honestly think he was planning to reach into my tote bag or try to grab DH's wallet. He was that close.

I am not normally paranoid, but I was sure both of these guys were targeting us. Gave me a bad feeling, for sure.

We left the bar and started walking back towards the shopping district and Straw Market. We went into several stores, didn't see anything we wanted, then into the Market. Lots and lots of wood carvings, t-shirts, bags, hats....

Totally agree on being aware of surroundings there. We had an attempted bag snatching while walking just across from Junkanoo. However, I’ve been to Nassau and Junkanoo many other times with no issues, just that once. I think they see tourists they may be drinking and think they can take advantage.

  3. I’ve tried the search feature but it is not working. I’m on the Dream in April and am considering a deep sea fishing excursion in Montego Bay. I know i can’t take fish back with me but do they take you to eat it for maybe lunch after catch?

  4. I think I will play it safe and cab it. I was not alone last time, I was in a group of 4, but we were all females. Luckily, the kid (he was high school aged), didn't get the bag (not that it would have mattered it only had towels in it) but it was a reactionary jerk back and hold on and run instinct. He also had a red drink dumped all over his White school uniform shirt, so locals/police could ID him pretty quickly.

  5. I went to Nassau 2 years ago and tried the walking tour in reverse (started at Catholic Church) and I teen tried to snatch my friend's purse. Im heading back and wanting to walk to the Queen's Staircase from port but am worried of a repeat. 3 girls and 1 big guy this trip/ last was 4 girls. Do you think it is safe or do you think cab is better and if so, how much is cab?

  6. 1 month til sailing and I think I'm ready! I think I could pack my bags now.... But along with buying way too much makeup and toiletry stuff in general, I've gone overboard with bathing suits! I keep finding them on sale. And I mean like 3.99 a piece sale (jcpenney). Only going for 5 days, but think I have purchased 5! Oops!

  7. Bought this top to wear with black ponte pants. ImageUploadedByForums1385948672.133473.jpg.b53791096aadb2f3fadd2e58fc82c8a8.jpg. I also had forgotten about the cover girl outlast lipstick! I have a bright red from last year that was my go to last winter and this thread reminded me of it.....totally went and bought a nude/mauve shade for every day! With lip liner, it lasts all day. It is dry, but I apply chopstick regularly anyway! This stuff is awesome, but you def need lip liner first.

  8. I love the red dress! And I will not admit to how many lipsticks I have....I will just admit to owning a professional make-up case that is full of not so necessary items ;) I sometimes wear high heels but that is bc I'm 4'11 and my hubs 6'4". Clothes, even in petite are too long....but I'll take tennis shoes or flip flops over anything!

  9. I love JCPenney! They have great clothes and now that they have sales, great deals. I have found a few drugstore brands that are awesome. I used to wear Estée Lauder double wear, but have since discovered maybelline shine free foundation stick. I apply with a foundation brush or damp sponge. I also buy in two colors. My normal color and dark color to contour. It is amazing! Also, I love that Amazonian clay mascara that you can get at sephora! Best liner is urban decay, hands down.

  10. I had to google Pallazo pants! Look so

Comfy, wonder if I can find some for my short self? (Only 4'11"). What type of shirt do you normally wear with them?

I was thinking of bringing black Ponte Pants for comfort and dress up ability. They look great with classic pointy toe heels and a loose sequin tank or flowy shirt.
