  1. lasvegascruising I've used SuperShuttle from LAX to/from the Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach a number of times and can recommend their service.

Pro's: It's very affordable ($19 each way for a shared ride) and it's a door to door service.

Con's: On one occasion I did have a crazy driver who seemed to think he was driving a rally but that was a one off. It's not the fastest way to travel as you sometimes have to wait up to 20 mins at LAX for shuttle heading in your direction to arrive and you may be dropping off or picking up others along the way.

At LAX I've just walked up to the curbside agent and requested a trip with no prior reservation. Returning back to LAX I've always booked the day before and they've arrived exactly at the quoted time.

If affordability is important, you don't mind a shared ride and you're and not pushed for time, I'd say this is likely your best bet.

  2. Yesterday I noticed that Royal Caribbean had changed our cabin from the one we selected on deck 9 to a comparable cabin on deck 14. Normally I would not be concerned but we had 2 neighboring cabins booked (on separate but linked bookings). Like others commenting here, I also did not receive any notification of the change and just stumbled on it when checking my booking. Anyway, I spoke to Customer Service today and the original neighboring cabin I had booked has now been taken by someone else so our family is now separated and RCCL could have cared less about the inconvenience caused.

This is the second time we've seen RCCL do this with no notification or consultation (which they probably don't have to do under the booking T's & C's). Last time we saw it early and were able to change back to our original cabin but we were not so lucky this time.

RCCL should really review their cabin management practices.
