  1. good info,

question.... do you have to purchase the drink package for the entire stay? or can we simply buy for the days we decide to stay on board?

you have to purchase for the length of the cruise & for each person in the room, if 1 gets the ultimate all adults have to get it.

we are taking our sodastream & I have seen others who bring enough soda for their day at sea then buy more soda in port. depends on how much alcohol &/or soda you prefer to tell which option would suit you best

  2. Thank you for this thread.

What I really keep trying to find out is exactly who needs to purchase.

I KNOW it must be everyone in the cabin but what if we have 4 cabins and one person's credit card (my mom is taking my family and my sister's family). Would that mean everyone on the credit card must purchase?

The reason I ask this is that if that is the case, I am moving a couple of kids in my mother's cabin (on paper) and she can give us OBC, totalling the amount of the drink package (which she has graciously said she will also pay for) and we will just all use our own credit card for each cabin. The package would work well for my sister/her dh and my dh and me. (We all have connecting cabins...one cabin connecting to another) so the move would be on paper since the kids could still sleep where they wanted at night and I know the older kids would use the soda package.

Does anyone know this information yet?

I'm sailing on the Breakaway in July and while I know it is not sailing, just curious about the other ships and the credit cards.

From what I understand from NCL & my TA if 1 person in the cabin wants the UBP then everyone over 21 must purchase the UBP & under 21 must purchase the soda package. Keep in mind that at least 1 person over the age of 21 must be in each cabin reservation.

  3. I think that is what I am going to have to do.....call NCL. I've tried several searches with different dates and they are all putting us in a suite. I didn't know that if I called in that maybe they can override it? The youngest still sleeps in a playpen.

We were really interested in Majesty because it sails out of our home port but it didn't even offer a suite on that one. Just got a "no go" type of error message.

    Thanks for your help!

We booked 10/2014 on the Norwegian Sun cabin 9131. We have 2 adults & 3 kids, so we are hoping it will be comfortable. Would love to see pics of the room set up for bed with 5 people. We used cruisedeals.com to book & our fares were right at $2000 for Honduras, Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel. We are embarking at the Port Of Tampa since it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to travel elsewhere when the port is about 45 minutes away. Friends of our also booked a cabin right around the corner from us as well.

Again, would love to see pics of 9131 or similar set up for bed time with 5 people. I have searched the threads & photo gallery, but have not found what I am looking for. Thanks
