  1. The thing that I chuckle over is the person with the lanyard who you are talking to at a M&G or elsewhere who looks down and notices their card is backward and needs to adjust it as a means of showing you where they are in the cruise lines loyalty program.:rolleyes:

     

    In my country these folk are called wankers. :p

  2. Thanks for the information. Seems like it's just another hand in the passenger's pocket. RCCL charges $6.50 a day for their soda package. Question is whether my wife can go 7 days without her Dr Pepper fix...

  3. Personally I think people on here who want to list each and every one of the 1,345 cruises they've been on, along with their triple diamond platinum ytterbium status.... to be far more wanky than someone wearing their card on a lanyard around their neck for convenience.

     

    Each to their own though.

  4. The bigger question for me is this:

     

    Why not cut all the bull**** with semi-forced gratuities; pay all the staff a more respectable wage and build that into the price?

     

    This would take all the stigma / pressure away and still allow people (without any pressure) to tip extra should they so choose.
