Surprised no one knows the answer!

Hi all
Does anyone know the procedure of leaving a day early on Europe cruises? I've searched the NCL website but can't find any docs.
Any info appreciated!

My powerboard wasn't scanned. Oh and the inside cabins had no power points on the desk.
-
I've also got a cabin on the baja deck, inside cabin.. Everyone on forums are telling me it's so dark in there, and really dark in the bathroom.. Is that true?
And we're there many power points in the room..thanks
No wasn't too bad. Good for sleeping!
One power point next to TV in a hard to reach location and one in bathroom. I always bring a powerboard (us) when I cruise.

Just got off today after the two day Sydney to Melbourne. My thoughts.
Cabin: had an inside on Baja (first time I've ever had an inside on any cruise). Quite spacious, clean but the overall feel was a bit dated.
Ship: in pretty good condition. Had more of an older feel to it unlike RCI and NCL who I've cruised with previously. Felt the lighting was a bit too dark. Lounges etc all really comfortable and plenty of spaces to sit.
Shops: mediocre. A couple of jewelry, one souvenir/clothes/ and perfume. Prices were surprisingly cheap considering our dollar to the US at the moment.
Entertainment: I personally thought the shows were average. Average singers and dancers and certainly caters to an older crowd. Lounge singers were shocking. Out of tune and all old material.
Cruise director is rude and arrogant (as I discovered while standing and chatting to him having a cigarette)
Lifts: a major problem. Slow, too many people and took a while to realize which ones only go to certain decks.
Food: generally very good. The restaurants and staff were of a good standard. Drink prices were fine.
Overall we enjoyed it (6 of us ) however I find many Australian cruisers to be an absolute disgrace with manners and decorum (walking around barefoot with a beer in hand, dripping water in lifts with only a towel covering what should be covered!!!)
I personally think the ship itself and what it offers is great for an older clientele. Our group ranged in age from 14 to 60 so can see good and not so good from all angles.

Thanks guys...I think I'll just stay with the balcony on Deck 9. Not interested in the overhang which seems to be an issue for some.
I'll just look forward to doing the Epic again next year.
Yep I know it's not a "suite", so all good there! Thanks

When we got off the Epic in Civitiavecchia we had asked for 9:30am pick up. We took our own luggage off at 9am, and the driver was already waiting. Very easy.

Hi Everyone
Booked on the Jade in June from Venice and booked through CAS for the very first time. Received a fairly decent offer (well compared to Australian pricing...about $1400 saving!)
Currently booked in a Mid Ship Balcony BA on Deck 9 which I have chosen the room. Spoke to CAS last night about something and they offered a mini suite for an extra $200 even on top of the total.
The other option he mentioned was if we swapped to the Epic leaving from Barcelona he could put us in a mini suite for the same price I've paid now for the Balcony. To do this I'd need to book a couple of new internal flights. We have been on the Epic before and loved it and very happy with the rooms.
Thoughts on Mini Suites on the Jade?? I haven't seen many up to date pictures or YouTube videos for quite a while. It would be on Deck 11 which the noise above when looking at the deck plans could be a problem depending on which part.
Any comments appreciated

I always book via the American site or call ncl in the states and I'm in Australia. The Australian site also bumps up the price with no offers !

Very calm and stable too. No motion

Yes!! We did last year in July in 11064. Loved it. Easy walk from lifts. Bed near balcony. No noise whatsoever, very quiet. Not sure if you would have bed near door but you can online for that. Was easy access when using lifts and found it great to navigate.

Thanks all for your helpful replies. I will keep the booking as is and just look forward to the planning!

Hi guys and girls
When we get off the epic in July and flew home we loved our first ever cruise so much we booked on the Jade for June. It is the only ncl cruise sailing on the date we need otherwise would have booked the epic again.
The cruise is a lot dearer than the epic for a balcony which is what we want and just wondering whether we should cancel and hope for a much lower price closer to sail date. The US dollar is not in our favour at the moment and I always book via the USA site as the Aussie one is even more expensive!
My concern is that we don't want to be disappointed also with an older and smaller ship. We have only cruised once and loved it. Freestyle is perfect for us. Royal and MSC both have cruises on the date we need but they don't look anywhere as good either.
Your thoughts on both points?

On the Epic at the moment is
Captain Svenne
CD. Jill
ACD. Richard
Hotel manager. Alain
F&B manager. Kevin
All very professional!

I loved the looking for an ATM comment but came back with wine and beer instead ;) hilarious!! Only in Rome....

This post is about a shrimp? Is there not pressing matters about the cruise you'd rather waste your energy on ?

Refreshing review by an obviously confident and relaxed person. You should really do a how to guide for single young women inc do's and donts.
