  1. Yay!!

We are on the April 3rd sailing, so I hope to see most of your review by Sunday :)

I have to admit, I was really excited about being on the ship after dry dock, but it seems that not much changed and you all had a heck of a week!

Glad to hear that embarkation went smoothly!

  2. I'm going to be there in April 3rd![emoji15]

I am sure they will get everything taken care of and everything will be fixed by then. I hope they take care of all of those passengers without air...that would definitely suck!

  3. OMG ITS SUNDAY!!!!!!!

Someone on the ship, please give us a brief update before you sail away!!

    Any HUB on this ship?

    How do the rooms look?

Any chance you can sneak into a spa balcony room and check out the decor?

Please, if you can, save The Fun Times and let me know Anything about BINGO LOL!!

    HAVE A GREAT TIME!

  4. In my experience, it's usually one week for them to arrive.

Great!!! I was a little nervous cutting it so close! I couldn't remember how long it took before.

Last time I did Verizon, they were the e-cards; pretty nice and no shipping.

If you apply 2 $500 cards to your S&S account and only use $800; will they refund the rest? Or is it lost? Thanks

-----NOTE: Just read where the unused portion of a gift card applied to a S&S account is refunded via another Carnival Gift Card: Do we leave the ship with this? Or is it mailed to us?

My plan is to cash out at the casino....I'm not interested in getting another Gift Card.....yet :)

  5. We are going to be on the Splendor in April. I had heard so many different things that I messaged John Heald.

He said that the Splendor was not getting any of the 2.0 Upgrades :(

I am sad, but I hear that it will be updated to be more "China friendly" and that there will be new bedding, sheets, and the casino will be updated (this was not from Heald)

  6. On our last cruise the room steward basically told me that he was emptying out the mini bar because there were only minors in the room. I thought that was so nice of him.

    Good to know!

You would think that they would automatically do that due to liability reasons...it's kind of like serving minors.

  7. We had a room with minors on our last cruise on the Pride this past August. I told the room steward to remove everything from there because I didn't want them to have access to it. I also told him to remove everything from ours because we were going to put our water bottles in the fridge. When we came back from dinner he had just emptied out the soda and beer, leaving all of the little alcohol shooters. I told him I wanted everything out so that there weren't any surprises, and we had more room for water, which he did.

On about the 3rd or 4th day, the kids found out where he emptied the contents of the fridge, in the storage area under the couch! So I had to remove it from the kid's room (because who could trust a room full of teenagers with alcohol and soda) and put it under our couch. I was a little disappointed they did this. What if the kids never did tell me? I would of gotten a nice surprise on that last night!

More importantly, that's how beer goes bad, if it is constantly cooled then heated up and cooled again. I would be furious if I opened up an overpriced room service beer only for it to taste spoiled.

Good thing you have good kids! I can't believe that's where the steward chose to empty It out to!

I personally don't use anything from those fridges...I don't trust what has happened to the drinks in there...and I'm pretty sure I don't have too far of a walk to any bar for a cold beer :)

Thanks for your story! I'll keep my eye out when I ask them to empty the fridge :)

  8. That email was so shoddy. No text in the body of the email, just an attachment that was a photocopy of a letter. Didn't seem professional. No clickable links? And the web addresses that they listed (for you to transpose into your browser, since they didn't create a link) were incorrect and went nowhere. I was super surprised and thought maybe it was a scam or something at first.

We've gotten the same kind of letter when they were skipping a port and they were letting us know ahead of time.

    Yes, very shoddy indeed :)

  9. I just had a thought...if my 18 year old son and 16 year old nephew are in their own room, will they remove the alcohol from the fridge?

My son can drink in the ports, and I'm really not that worried about them drinking, I just don't want a surprise bill at the end ;)

  10. I thought the eggs they use are like egg beaters. They are liquified. Which to me is not real.:D

The whole eggs are just pre-whipped to save time at the omelette station. Egg beaters are real eggs, just egg whites.

I personally like the powdered scrambled eggs [emoji4]

  11. I booked my son (18) and nephew (16) in a separate room with no problem through Carnival.

I'm bummed that I wasn't a little smarter about it though; I would have booked an adult and child in each room so I could have gotten the Cheers Program for just myself. My husband doesn't drink enough to justify the cost for him, so it doesn't make sense for both of us to get it.
