  1. Just checked the MSC website today and our itinerary is now showing all new ports in Norway:

    Sun, 24 July Copenhagen        * 6PM
    Mon, 25 July At Sea * *
    Tues, 26 Juyl Alesund 7AM 7PM
    Wed, 27 Juyl Hellesylt 7AM 4PM
    Th, 28 July Flaam 8AM 5PM
    Fri, 29 July At Sea * *
    Sat, 30 July Kiel, Germany 9AM 7PM
    Sun, 31 July Copenhagen  9AM *

    Works for us!

  2. Thanks for the info!   The article says,
"the line has been in touch with alternative ports - such as Stockholm, Helsinki and Tallinn."

If Stockholm can't handle Grandiosa, and we're already porting in Helsinki and Tallinn,
any thoughts on where it could divert to?   Or is most likely to extend time in the other ports?

  3. Does anyone know if MSC has pulled their stops from St. Petersburg?

We're booked on MSC Grandiosa out of Copenhagen in July 22.
If they stop in Russia, we're going to cancel.

Hate to miss such a beautiful city but can't see going to Russia now.
Would much rather they divert to Stockholm instead.

  4. We (were) booked on Seaview out of Copenhagen on July 25th.
But there have been several changes so far.
First they changed the ship to MSC Seaview.
I booked through MSC and never received a word about the change - I had to call them.
Lucky I did because we didn't have a cabin assigned on Seaview.

Next the departure Port changed to Kiel and it appears they dropped several ports,
including St. Petersburg and Copenhagen.  (the primary reasons we booked this itinerary).
And now all Northern Europe (Baltic) cruises have fallen off the site completely for 2021.
No idea what is going on - and again not a word from MSC - so far.

We were on MSC Meraviglia, 24 Nov - 1 Dec 2019.

The ship did not stop at Ocean Cay and was diverted to Cozumel.

They left a flyer in our room offering 20% off a future cruise.

So - we booked a cruise through the onboard booking agent who told us,

"MSC will email us and apply the discount."

I've contacted MSC 3 times (by telephone, email, and letter)

and each time, "they'll get back to me".

To date, they have not honored the 20% discount.   😣

Update:  We finally received the 20% discount!

Had to wait until the final payment was due and called them.

After about an hour on the phone, the discount was applied.  (yay!)

Still not sure if world events will allow cruise to actually happen,

but MSC has a 48 hour cancellation policy - hoping for the best!

  7. I was in the same "boat" as you - trying to decide between those two itineraries out of Venice.

At first, I liked Sinfonia because of the stop in Santorini.

I ended up selecting Poesia because it's a much larger ship and the cabins are slightly larger.

It also has the grand staircases and galleries - definitely adds the "wow" effect for family members on their first cruise.

  8. We sailed on the Divina last year in Europe in Cabin 16032. You will be very pleased! Definitely bigger than the other cabins on Deck 16. Yacht Club is the way to go! We liked it so much - we booked Divina Yacht Club for Sep 14in the Caribbean. Please post reviews of the ports and excursions from your trip.
