Hi!

I'm new to the board, and am looking for all sorts of information here. I'm also a new cruiser; my first cruise will be Celebrity Solstice February 3-10, 2013. I usually dive with my hubby, but this cruise is with my mom only, a non-diver. So I will need a buddy if I dive. If you have any input on diving near San Juan, Puerto Rico, Philipsburg, St. Maarten, or Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, it would be much appreciated! How good is the coral and Should I go with the cruise arranged trip? How is diving from a cruise and with the cruise tour, from your experience? (I've only done liveaboards and dives while staying put on an island.) Are there better, less cattle boat style outfits on the island? Are there times you have decided it is more worthwhile to just snorkel? I look forward to all input!

What islands will you be going to? We have done a few excursions on some of the islands.

I am interested in anything you can tell me accessibiity-wise for tours and visiting the towns of San Juan, Puerto Rico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.
