  1. Hi everyone

i have seen that the Seaside’s pools are deep...like 6 feet / 2 meters deep. Is this a standard on all their vessels. Especially curious if  the Meraviglia has shallower pools, especially in the family areas

    Thanks

  2. We did haven in Feb this year. I would say the haven pool on the epic is the same I'd not bigger then gen pop...we too called our haven a country club attached to a prison. My group was 7 from 8 to 69 years. There was more families then expected and tweens...and they behaved. Imagine that. My kid never wanted the main too area as it was always ful of drunk 12year olds in 40 year old bodies doing the I got a bigger penis look at me! Yep...gen pop. We would definitely use NCL again but only in the haven

  3. Hi everyone...my DD of 8 years had just did her 5th cruise. She has some anxiety issues and challenges in learning but is awesome ambassador for canada. That said we as a family have tried them all...including the mouse. The last ship a 6 weeks ago was NCL Epic. Since you did the mouse I can assume you don't mind paying extra on a vacation. May I suggest NCL but only in the haven and on the getaway bliss or epic. For the money it was beyond worth it for the whole family. My DD is a pool nut and having a pool shared by 50 Instead of 5000 was beyond nice. But above this... the service was the best we had. Example..as canadians we love our popcorn. Yet NCL doesn't normally carry it as a snack on board. Our Stewart found this out and on his one day off he went to market in Jamaica and bought a box of microwave popcorn so dd had some every night remaining...every place we ate or sat was an example of kindness and care. But due to size and people...please look at the 2 bedroom in the haven and all you get for value

  4. HI everyone

Haven been on a few cruises, making friends with staff and recently having land friends that worked or working for different cruise companies, their information on this could shed some light. On some, as I can't speak for all major lines, the butler does not receive an hourly rate. They are solely paid by tips. They do not pool share their tips, however, they do work 24hrs and only are assigned to one or two cabins. A fantastic tip is 100 per person while I've heard average tip is 35-50 per guest. So say 200 per week. Some lines do give a stiffen of 30-40 per month so in average a butler will make around the 900 mark. Now consider if they were on land in major cities this would be an weekly amount on base with other perks and bonus. Again, some inside info. As i am not a butler on the ship nor have I done taxes for any butlers on a ship, please take this as info shared but not proven to ad solute fact, but it is what our family and friends consider when we have had butler service

  5. Has anyone been on victory for the Florida key Coz. Cruise and attended chefs table. I got my notice we are allowed to attend and wondering what night it was as they state they would tell us on the cruise, but I will turn it down if it's when we are in port in Mexico

    Thanks in advance

  6. Hi all and greetings from the north

I am going on the Victory in February of next year. I have cruised before, but never with Carnival. as such a couple is joining my family this time as it seems I know a few things and they have been no where before....so now I am My families and friends travel agent, guide, cruise director, and general go to guy for this whole thing. as such, there are questions I am hoping I can get answered. I have looked in the post and for the most part the very specific info I am seeking I have not found so here is my list of questions I seek input on.

1/ Drinks-> I have read a lot of post in regards to cheers and bottoms up. here is the question. At any time is pop free? Is there a 24 hour beverage station serving juice, milk and coffee like on Disney? (child hates pop). If not, can I access Milk and juice for free in the buffet throughout the day and night?

2/ Cozumel-> we arrive at port at 1300hrs. Is this cruise time or Island time as Cozumel is 1 hour behind? Has anyone done Chankanaab on this cruise getting off at these times and if so, dose the park stay open longer or are you there for just 4 hours? And if this is the case, does anyone have a great alternative adventure (on island) to show my friends a little culture and "realish" Mexico and be good for a 7 year old?

What is the best restaurant for authentic family Mexican food on the island?

Where is the best place to get a great bottle of tequila?

Is there a good place left to buy jewelry?

Is there an old school Mexico taco stand that still sells mystery meat tacos for cheap, really good eats left on the island?

3/ pre paid credits/cards-> I see you can buy cards that add credit to you room, but is not used the credit is forfeited. what is the advantage of buying these cards instead of just putting money on your room? if you do get cards, can you not just offload the credits at the casino and then cash in for real money?

4/ Miami-> I have stayed in Miami (south Beach) before a cruise before but I have a specific question hoping someone might know. American Girl shop is at the Falls mall. how far is it from the holiday inn by the port by cab (cost/time)

And is there nice places in coconut grove to stay that are good pre-cruise spots and the cost and time to arrive at port from coconut Grove?

Thanks everyone in advance for the info. If there is anything else you think I need to know to be in the know ie? must have meal, dish, drink, sight to see, please let me know.

    From the north....Winter is coming......so book a cruise...lol
