  1. Unfortunately, this doesn't have any relevant information concerning sushi on the Liberty. It's a walk-up kiosk around the corner from the buffet. Limited menu but pretty good sushi ( well, better than supermarket quality) at a good price. When you order, you will be given a beeper so you can come back to pick it up.

Oh! Disappointing news.... I mean I love good sushi, but, I was looking forward to the ambiance, as well. Guess we will grab and go find a little spot to enjoy!

    Thanks for the clarification

  2. Yes, the day pass does include the private island as long as it's not too windy for the ferry to run. If you go to the private island, make sure you know the boat schedule. I believe they only go back and forth once an hour so you'll need to watch your time and not miss a ferry you need to get back to the ship in time. Also, I don't think they stock towels on the island so pick some up by the main pools before you head over.

There's an open air restaurant between the 2 main pools. I don't remember what seafood they had but I know they had some. Also, the buffet has a big selection and there's a pizza oven. There's also a restaurant on the private island. Lots of options.

Thank you for all the helpful info!! Didn't think about the towels, either... great to know!!!

  3. I like it too because it drowns out any hallway noise and the vibration puts me to sleep. Just wanted to give fair warning as many people don't like it.

I upgraded from an OV to aft Balcony on Liberty Cabin 7449. I am now worried about vibration and motion sickness.... we sail in 29 days... and now I am in panic mode!! I thought it would be fun to have an aft instead of just a regular balcony... now I am wishing I would have saved myself some $$ and gone with the regular balcony... :(

    Any thoughts??

Thank you so much! It looks like Bonsai will have some ambiance to it, instead of just a walk up counter! We usually sail on large mega ships, so I did not know what to expect with an older, smaller ship. But, from reviews, it looks great for a weekend getaway! Much appreciated!!

    Happy Sailing

  5. I do hope you get your credit! I looked at the same thing on my TA website. the fare is about $100 p/p less than what I paid in full just last week. I looked on the boards and some mentioned that if you book Early Saver for the fare, you get a refund or OBC. My question is.... is this a general rule : to give us a credit of some sort when their fares drop on their site? Or, are there stipulations? My luck, there are probably rules and I won't qualify. Good luck on getting yours!!

    Happy Sailing!!

  6. Thats a bummer you cannot at least get OBC!

We booked an OV on Carnival, price is lower now, and I was wondering the same thing. My hubby wants a balcony anyway, and it is almost the same exact price as we paid for OV. Does anyone know if we will we be able to upgrade to the balcony? I believe we will owe about $25.

    Thank You and happy sailing!!

  7. Oh my ..... this resort looks INCREDIBLE!!!! Our cab driver told us about this resort 2 years ago when we ported in Miami for a cruise. We could not believe it was not open, and what a scandal as to why it was not open!! Such a shame! I wonder if cruise passengers could book a room here for the day?? I know you mentioned they do not do day passes. I am assuming check in is not until 3 pm, and that would not work for most cruisers! On the Sunshine, I think they get to Nassau at 12 pm and leave at 10 pm, on a couple of cruises. So, that may be an option for some?? This resort would be worth booking and flying in for a quick getaway!!

Anyway, just wondering if the casino is open to the public. Does anyone know??

I sure would love a peek at this resort. Playing in the casino would be amazing too!!

    Happy Sailing everyone!!!

  8. I am excited about the LOBSTAH ROLL!!!

Me too!! Cannot wait for the lobster roll!! sailing Oct. 19 (not soon enough).... hoping the ship is wonderful!! We were tossing up Liberty and Sunshine. But, I just saw so many bad reviews of Sunshine, that I did not even give it much thought. Then, after I booked Liberty, I was looking at Sunshine in more detail, and almost regret booking Liberty!! But, a cruise is a cruise, afterall!! And, from your comments, it looks promising... especially the Seafood Shack!! I am hoping it is open as soon as we board!! I am sure hubby is going to want to go to buffet or free food first. But, we have a nice OBC this cruise, and I plan to enjoy myself!!

Have a great cruise everyone! I look forward to seeing your posts and reviews!!

  9. FYI I just called Sandals to see about purchasing the day pass in advance and they said you can't buy in advance but can pay cash or credit card when you get there. They are fully operational as hurricane Irma missed them. Now we will wait and see if Royal uses the Majesty for humanitarian efforts through the rest of the month or if my cruise actually happens.

    Hi There!

Thanks so much for the info and heads up!! We are sailing in mid October for a short anniversary cruise and was thinking of doing the Sandals Day Pass. So, we will wait to get to Nassau and get a taxi to the resort and then purchase. I wish you could pre purchase, as my spouse will not be keen on the price, but I think it it could be very well worth it! Do you know if it includes going to their little island, too? Also, would it include a good seafood restaurant? I guess the silver lining to purchasing upon arrival is knowing what the weather will be like. Worst case, we go to Margaritaville or Hilton Day pass. I have been to Melia... liked their beach, but, that was about it. The outdoor buffet was sketchy, although we did not get sick. Thanks for the info!! I hope you get to go on your cruise!!!
