Looking at a weekend cruise from Long Beach California to Ensenada Mexico the weekend of January 15th. Anyone been there that time of year? Wondering what the weather is like.

I am considering booking a 4 day cruise to Mexico out of Long Beach on either the Imagination or Inspiration. This is a surprise for my sister's 50th birthday and she is planning her daughters wedding this year with no extra money for herself!! So here is the question, do you prefer one ship over the other? Also, I am looking for one of the weeks in July and wondering if it's typical on this cruise for the prices to go up as date gets closer, or go down. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to delete or edit my other post but looking for any differences between these two ships. Same port of call but one leaves from Miami and one from Tampa. Thanks!

Yes, sorry! I meant the Legend going out of Tampa. And actually the Liberty going out of Miami. My notes I have taken aren't very neat! LOL

We are considering Carnival for our 3rd cruise, having done Disney (only because we got an unbeatable last minute deal a few years ago) and Norwegian. After lots and lots of researching, Carnival, going to the same destinations, averages about $1600 less expensive than Norweigian, Holland America, Royal Carribean, etc. etc. for a 7 days cruise. Where do you find the differences? Is it the food? Entertainment? Cleanliness? Service? I am generally a lower budget gal and love a bargin. I just want a clean, safe cruise, with decent food. I don't need first class. Just curious how/why Carnival is able to offer such lower prices. THANKS! BTW..we are looking at the Liberty's 7 days cruise to the Carribean visiting Belize, Roatan, Grand Caymen, and Cozumel.

These 2 ships visit the same ports but one leaves from Miami and one from Tampa. Anyone been on both of them, and is one better than the other? We are a family traveling with 2 girls ages 9 and 11.

I was wondering if anyone had any pictures or knowledge of how the Legend sleeps 4 in a balcony stateroom (or even OV or the french door rooms, they seem the same?) From searching I can't seem to tell if the couch turns into a single and a bunk comes out of the ceiling or if they expect 2 to sleep on the couch and it pulls out???

Can someone tell me about the privacy of the french door rooms? Are there workers in that area that can see inside your room if you keep the curtains open?
