Thank you for this review so far!!! I will be sailing on her in October for 8 days and I can't wait !!!

This was one of more interesting cruises I have been on in a long time (Cruise #30 for me). Even with all the drama with repairs taking much longer than any one anticipated, I still had a great cruise. I am however a much different passenger than most- itinerary means very very little to me. I love being on a Norwegian ship no matter which one. People always ask me, "What's your favorite ship?" and my answer is always, "Whatever one I am on when the question gets asked. I have become friends with so many staff members, it is impossible to be on a ship without knowing someone.

 

In answer to to your question about amazing staff, I would have to start with Captain Pelle Fredriksson. Captains rarely impress me, but he did in spades. I can not wait to sail with him again in the Spring. Hotel Director Steven Jacobsen is my opinion the BEST Hotel Director in the Norwegian system and Noel Chaves is the BEST Restaurant Manager in the system. Can not wait to sail with any of them again.

I would have to agree with you Mandy.... The staff on the ship was amazing and Yes, Captain Pelle Fredriksson did a wonderful job too.:cool: Also love seeing staff from previous cruise:D.

I was going to breakfast one morning and Isaac stop me to sing You Are My Sunshine... he would not let me go I had to stand there and let Isaac sing to me ......I sooo embarrassed :eek: But in the end I was cool with it (Hey I was on Vacation :D).

My husband rented the car up in Orlando and we returned it in Miami, at the airport. All it took was flashing the receipt they printed us when we returned the car to the shuttle bus (a full-sized city bus, in reality) driver and we were on and it was totally free. Couldn't have been easier.

I forgot to ask what transportation did you guys used to get back to the airport to go home?

Hey don't worried ..... Go and enjoyed your trip. Don't let this be a big bump in the road for you. :o Next time plan to have your passport renew for kids. :)

I know traveling with passport is the best way to go .... But on my pass 5 cruise I been only traveling with my birth Certificate for me DH and my kids. We never had any problem. I know things happened..... But I always pray and hope for a wonderful trip and to come back home in one piece.:o

Your review is full of life and color. hey I feel like I am there with you. You give soooo much insight of ship. Reading your review really help me to decide on what ship I should take and go and which one I should past on. I guess I can kick getaway off my list.

YOUR REVIEW IS GREAT!!!!! I am Loving every bit of it. I just told my husband we need to go to St. Thomas :D the pic that you took with your camera came out so clear and beautiful. Now I would like to know would you go on this ship again? What type of camera are you using. Do you having any ideas where you going next.:rolleyes:

Poor Baby.......... I love your review so far...... I am so sorry that you miss your fight.:eek: Sometime we think traveling with the whole family( Adult) would be great to do. Well I am here to say sometime it can make or break the trip. I been in your shoe before. I had to make a promise to myself I will NEVER travel with family. I like to be pack and ready to go 3 days before I go on a trip. So I know you wanted to kick and scream in the middle of the airport once you saw the plane leaving. We are planning on taking our 10, 6 years old boys on their first cruise a week before x-mass. DH is planning on telling the kids when get off the exit to the port. lol. ...:D

WE Have to do it this way or the kids will bug me and DH each day until we go, if so my DH might cancel the cruise :eek:. So its best not tell them.

Mitsugirly.......I see that you been on a lot of ncl Cruise. Which ship do you like? Do you suggest Ncl EPIC for a family with kids 5,10 years old. This will be their first cruise.

Well.... I thank you Mitsgirly. It was your review that help me and DH pick Almaplena. I am from Long Beach, CA. I see brownish water all the time and sea- grass. We was Looking for a place that will be unforgettable. After reviewing your post and picture I knew this is where I want to spend my day. :D:D:D Thank You!!!!

Ok ..I did it!! I book Almaplena. Me and DH decided tonite this will be the place for us.:p
