Scottca075  Sorry you disapprove of my response.  I (and another poster) were simply offering reasonably-priced options to the OP.  I trust the OP can decide whether or not the information is of any use to them.

I agree with you, Scottca075's  sarcastic reply is the exact  reason I stayed away from these Boards, his response certainly was NOT helpful. Let's be nice people...even if some of you think you are smarter then the rest of us.....

  2. As far as I know, the package is not available for pre-order anymore. However, some ships have concocted their own package and making it available for onboard purchase only. I dont recall if Liberty is one of those ships.

Thank you, I will keep checking. Had it on Navigator last year and it worked out great. If not, I'll be prepared for other options.

  3. Hi papaflamingo, they don't promote it. I learned when I asked the waiter about a daily wine special. I wasn't interested in that then they brought this wine promo up.

I snapped photos of the brochure -looks like it started June 13.

Hope these aren't turned sideways. I'm limited by using just my phone to do this. [emoji3]

I'll see if w can find out if this is long term and fleet wide.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm unable to get the photos.....thanks anyway. Wish they would bring the "wine & dine" program back...anyone hear any positive update?

  4. Thank you, got the wine list now. BTW, last year on the Navigator we were on the "Wine & Dine" program and was able to order our wine at Giovanni's and used to bring the open bottle (if there was any left) back to our cabin every night to drink there.

Sailing on the Liberty out of Galveston April'16, hope they bring back the "Wine & Dine" then also.

    Thanks for the info. :)

  5. It is really not a problem.

Notice that the charge is advertised as a "daily charge", not in any other way. Clearly, they have no problem with multiplying the appropriate number of days times the daily charge and adding 18%.

    :)

Thank you for the clarification of my inquiry..

I'm also hoping that they will reinstate the "wine & dine" package...

Any one have update on that? ;)

  6. Yes, you can use OBC if you wait to buy onboard.

On a 7 day cruise, you can buy on day 1, 2, 3, or 4.

Just wondering if that is still allowed since they have increased some of their individual drink prices plus increased gratuities to 18%? Just asking since Royal seems to be getting greedy lately.

I would prefer waiting until day 2 of my 7 day cruise if I can?

  7. If you want something more natural with no side affects, try :

Ginger Root Capsules 550 mg. "Nature's Bounty" or any other brand

sold in Walgreen's or Walmart or any health foods store. Take one twice a day, preferably with meals, or as needed. Lots of opinions and suggestions, but everyone has their favorites that work personally for them. ( green apples, ginger snaps, ginger candy, wrist bands, patches, etc., etc.) Smooth sailing everyone !

  8. Would like to know if anyone has checked a case of water or soda with their luggage since dry dock.

Also would like to know if you can check on a box of wine instead of bottle and if the bladder would fit in the fridge in the room.

Does it cost extra to do the rock climb, flow rider, ice skate?

This will be my families first RCCL cruise, 4 previous on Carnival.

Thank you so much for starting this thread! I love taking notes from all these great ideas.

RCCL's "rules"--- Only 2 750ML size bottles of wine per stateroom

  9. Just back from 7/7 Allure, stayed at Embassy Suites pre-cruise, Marriott Courtyard on Beach 3 days post cruise. Bubba Gumps is right next to Marriott Courtyard and there are all types of restaurants and shops as you walk along Seabreeze Blvd. across from the beach.

We took a taxi from the port to Marriott which is usually faster and cheaper than shuttle, and the same from the Embassy Suites, that does have a shuttle but more expensive than what I paid for cab for 2.

Did not inquire about shuttle at Marriott Courtyard.

  10. We know! There is nothing you can do about it. It's none of your business anyway. I always tip extra......cultural differences. Can you wear shorts while you are stiffing staff in the MDR. Do you pay them in euros? Maybe there can be a public announcement of those who remove their tips from their sea pass. They shouldn't be allowed to cruise. We end up paying more. Oops that's none of MY business. Choose another line cheapo! I believe the coffe is awful. I hate threads about threads.

Seriously.......what is the answer? There must be one!

Here's an answer, worry about yourself not others.

Honestly, what is the obsession some people have with this topic:confused:?

And why do some people get so touchy and hostile  I thought discussions and opinions (agreed or not) were "allowed" on these boards

  11. Two bottles are better than none! You can also have some sent to your cabin that are ordered through RCCL's "Gifts & Gear"...Wine Cellar. Yes, more expensive, but according to what the new policy states:

"Anyone who receives wine as an amenity or Gift via a Royal Caribbean purchase is permitted to consume it in their stateroom or any of the public areas onboard (including the dining room, specialty restaurants, and bars/lounges) without incurring a corkage fee.

Question: How are they going to know whether it was from the "Gifts & Gear" purchase or....part of the original 2 bottles allowed upon embarkation ???

The new policy continues on to state:

"Guests are not allowed to bring any other alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use."

Next question: Does that mean water and soda ??

Thought we had a good policy change for wine drinkers, but needs more specifics as it seems it will be a "work in progress" until they iron out the kinks.

Just hope it doesn't get abused and ruin a good thing so far.

P.S. for the poster who required Kosher wine there is one on the list.
