  1. There was a vegetarian when we did the Chef's table and they did a very nice selection for her. Also I do not eat seafood and the Chef made me something special but was prepared close to what the seafood dishes were.

The Chef visited our table the night before and asked us if we had any diet restrictions or dislikes.

It worth it and should not be missed. :D

  2. Thanks everyone for your concern! Even though our 5 day trip ended up to be 4 days we had a great time! That Monday was frustrating as we did not know what to do so far as if we should get a hotel or not. We did make the best of it. My daughter and I ended up fishing at the pier. A very nice young male employee offered his assistance if we needed it. Even though we did not take up his offer I did get to tease my husband that I got a phone number. :)

We are going to be credited for 1/5 of our cruise and port charges and received OBC for the gratuities.

Unfortunately for us and fortunately for the next cruisers the port was clear when came in yesterday. I hope everyone had a great time.

  3. I need all of your expert opinions. We have booked for a Feb 2014 cruise with ES. Today my husband got a call from a previous employer about a job opening and he is considering applying for it. If he does then he will not have any vacation time to go.

I contacted Carnival to see if there was possibility that my daughter could go in his place. They informed me that as long as it was before final payment we could change it for $50.00. Is this true? For some reason I thought I read that we would lose his deposit.

I appreciate your help in advance.

  4. I have lost a lot of weight and sadly my wedding ring slipped off my finger this weekend and have no idea where. :( My husband and I have decided if we can not find it that I would look for a replacement on our cruise in February.

Has anyone purchased a diamond ring on the ship? If so, what was the quality and how comparable was it to a price at home? Would it better to purchase something at Cozumel versus the ship?

    Thanks for your help!

  5. On Triumph, the Chef's Table is held in the Library. (You do start out with a few appetizers and champagne standing at a table in the galley, but the majority of the meal is served in the Library.)

Let's just say there was a wide variety of dress -- everything from one gentleman who wore cargo shorts and a polo shirt to a young woman in a cocktail dress. Most folks dressed up just a little, but definitely no tuxedos or evening gowns. They also recommend that you wear closed toed shoes and no heels because of the galley tour. I actually second that -- the galley floor was very slick. Personally, I made a lasting impression in a long net skirt with black blouse and a chiffon scarf, finished with my finest rose-and-zebra-print Converse high tops. (To know me is to learn to embrace some of my fashion fun. Or at least learn to endure it.)

You won't be at all out of place by yourself. They had assigned seating at the dinner, and my partner and I were seated across from each other, not next to each other, so a person by him/her self wouldn't look at all out of place. Come to think of it, they seated us each next to the two guys who weren't partnered with anyone. Well... guess that seating arrangement didn't turn out as planned for anyone! Bottom line -- go by yourself and enjoy!

Thanks for your response and thanks for your review. I am glad you had a great time.

I have decided I would miss a lot of wonderful things if I did only what my husband wanted to do. So I am going for it and I can't wait! :D
