  1. Has anyone gotten a day pass at this resort recently?  If so, how was it?  The cost is $99 and  only includes one drink but if pool and beach access are amazing it would be well worth it.  Also, is transportation to this resort fairly easy from port?  My best mapping puts it about 7.5 miles away and seems it should be a 15 min taxi ride?

if anyone has any info to share it would be much appreciated!  Haven’t been to San Juan since 2011 and I am sure a lot has changed.

  2. Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Ft Lauderdale 17th St?  Haven’t sailed out of this port in many years and wanted something with shuttle from airport/to port and  within walking distance of liquor store and restaurants.  Since Embassy Suites seems to be not a good choice, this was in the same general area.   Paid a little over $300 but that’s for 4 of us in a double room.  Did I make a decent choice?  Is there something better that offers same?

Also, second question, how is everyone getting to the airport after getting off this ship?  Just taking taxis or Uber?  thanks for the help!

  3. Our first ever stop in Progreso in a couple weeks and looking for an excursion with beach time.  Has anyone been to this resort and want to share opinions or better yet, gone on the Carnival excursion to this resort at Reef Yucatán Resort Hotel?

This is an all inclusive beach excursion with a 45 min bus ride to/from resort.

    thanks!

  4. Check cancellation policies.  Resort pass often says you can cancel without penalty up to 24 hours prior with full refund which is good if rain is predicted or your itinerary has been changed.  Not sure if the resort will let you cancel.

Was on the Anthem last week going to Fla and the Bahamas. It wasn't asked for at check in at Cape Liberty or at Nassau or Coco Cay.

Thank you for the reply, I did read on Margaritaville’s website FAQs:

Margaritaville Beach Resort welcomes non-hotel guests. Non-hotel guests who have been vaccinated and have passed the two-week immunity period are exempt from COVID-19 testing when visiting the property. For unvaccinated non-hotel guests, Margaritaville Beach Resort requires proof of a negative COVID -19 rapid antigen test taken within 5 days.

  6. Is there any need for vaccine cards any where in the Bahamas?  Seems I read something somewhere that vaccine cards were required somewhere but I cannot remember or find it again.

  7. I have heard others mention taxis to Lighthouse Pointe Resort at Port Lucaya cost around $30-40 round trip but a shuttle is like $7?  Can anyone shed light on this?  Haven’t been to Freeport in over 5 years and no knowledge of how to negotiate a round trip taxi (will the same taxi pick up at required time?) and is there a shuttle that goes that far, do you schedule it or is it like public transportation?  Thanks for any info!   There will be 6 of us in our group!
