As others said.   Please let the tour group leader know.   We were on a tour in Japan and a group of 4  left the tour and grabbed a cab back to the ship but didn't tell the guide.   A full bus load of us sat there for over an hour while the tour guide tried to locate them.

Thank you, I will definitely check with the tour group first.

If Barbados allows individuals to do shore excursions on their own AND Celebrity rules allow it - yes.  Certainly be sure to let Celebrity know your plans.

I expect you will not really know until you speak to staff after you board as rules change.

Thank you. I will book it in and can always cancel later and ask once on board. Everything is so fluid I really need a plan A,B and C for all scenarios.

  3. If we book a ship tour in Barbados to Carlisle Bay can we chose to stay on at the beach longer than the 3.5 hours allocated  and find our own way back to the ship? We have a fair amount of OBC and I wated to  book  a few shore excursions to use it up.

  4. We are about to book a Sky Suite on Equinox and hoping to get some help with cabin reviews.

    I am looking at a corner AFT on either deck 12 -  2146 , 11 -1663 or 10 -1403.

Wondering  about noise from the  sunset bar.

Can anyone help with some input on these cabins and some pictures?

Im not  sure about the pole next to the bed in some pictures i've seen ,looks like a hazard.

We're taking Radiance a couple says later for $4300 with an aft balcony

Is this for 2020 Hawaii to Sydney? We are booked on Solstice and haven't seen any release itineraries for Radiance as yet. The prices are ridiculously high for Solstice so we may consider changing to Radiance but I am unable to see the itinerary and prices here in Australia.

  6. Does anyone know if Solstice have dropped Moorea off all their itineraries from 2020? They arent stopping in Moorea on the April sailing Sydney to Hawaii in 2020.

We were hoping to do Solstice in 2020 from Hawaii to Sydney,I think from memory they were released in October or November last year for 2019 sailing so 2 years out,can anyone confirm this?

  7. I am about to book on this ship for a b2b from Venice in Aug 19, considering a concierge first leg and aqua aft second leg. We are from Australia and have done Solstice 4 times and loved it. The itineraries were only released 2 days ago to us and so many rooms are gone already, was hoping to jump on the sunset aft concierge but not to be. I understand Connie is a smaller ship and M class as well as older. Is she still in good condition? Will miss not having the Asian specialty restaurant Silk Harvest and Murano, I can only see Tuscan Grill on Connie,is this the only specialty restaurant?

  8. Wow,I have to say this is one of the best reviews and pics of Alaska that I have read and seen. Loving it,I am so looking forward to our cruise to Alaska next May on the Solstice. I have only heard excellent reviews about Brett Nixon so i hope he will still be there next May. Looking forward to the rest. Thank you for taking the time to do such a thorough review with wonderful pics.

  9. Ok I have a question,I have a clearer picture now but still would like an answer if possible.

We are cruising Radiance Hawaii to Vancouver then embarking on Solstice Vancouver to Seattle, is this allowed or not? I have been told Vancouver is not a distant foreign port by some. My understanding is Hawaii being USA Vancouver different port but Canada (foreign port?)

Can customs refuse our boarding or are we looking at a fine?

Its a bit much this PVSA thing, wondering if we should just change itinerary.

  10. We did Temptation Tours back in 2013 and it was so amazing.

We were picked up around 2am and one of the first groups up there.Small tour group (about 6 or 8) and wonderful guide.

We totally underestimated just how cold it was,we went in September.

    So worth the cost.

  11. My husband and I did the POA in 2013 first cruise and first trip to Hawaii. We were mid 30's at the time and absolutely loved it.We found the POA a fantastic way to explore Hawaii and we will do this cruise again one day.

It is a bit pricey but we had zero complaints and found it to be a fun and somewhat busy cruise.

We have since cruised 4 times and have 4 more booked and POA is still hands down our favorite.

I would be surprised if anyone regretted doing this cruise.
