Allure was coming back from Spain and headed to Miami. Oasis would make room by heading to PE. Then Allure was going to PC to spell Harmony, and Oasis would leave Miami for NJ, leaving Symphony by herself in South Florida until Oasis returned in the fall.  Harmony would then return to PC and send Allure to TX in November 21.

So no idea where Allure goes now

In the letter from Royal it said Allure will port out of Fort Lauderdale for winter 21-22

  2. Just received this for Allure.

    Dear Guest,

We hope that amidst this situation, you have remained healthy, safe, and optimistic that each day that passes, is another day closer to a more regular day-to-day.

Given the closure of shipyards along with the disruption to the supply chain caused by this pandemic, the amplification of Allure of the Seas, which included renovations and new signature attractions, has been moved to a later date. Currently, Allure is in Cadiz, Spain receiving a routine technical dry dock to ensure she is ready for your cruise. And, due to pier construction delays in the Galveston terminal, the pier will unfortunately not be ready to welcome an Oasis Class ship. As a result, Allure of the Seas will no longer sail from Galveston during Winter 2021 - 2022 and will sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, instead.

We know how much time and effort go into planning your cruise and apologize for the delay in construction plans. We were excited about it, too. However, the good news is, Liberty of the Seas will take Allure's place in Galveston come Winter 2021 and will set sail on 7-nightWestern Caribbean itineraries on the exact same days as your original cruise. To make this transition easier, we're automatically moving you to the Liberty of the Seassailing departing on the same day as your original sailing. We will personally contact you over the next few weeks, to help you find the best possible stateroom. If by any chance we miss you, please call us at (888) 281-9344. If we haven't heard from you by July 7th, 2020, we'll handle the change for you. An updated booking confirmation will be sent to the email address on file with your new stateroom number.

If you've already paid your reservation in full, and your cruise fare rate decreases, we'll refund you the difference to the original form of payment once the move is complete. You can expect to receive your refund within 45 days.

And although not the original ship planned, we know you'll enjoy the Liberty of the Seas. Our thrill seekers can take the plunge on our dual waterslides - The Perfect Storm, surf the waves on the FlowRider, then show off your skills in our ice-skating rink. If relaxing is number one on your to do list, we also have you covered. Enjoy live music as you sip a cocktail, experience world-class entertainment at live production show, or grab a bite to eat at one of our specialty dining venues. Please see your revised itinerary outlined below.

  3. If I rebooked my May 2018 cruise, I could save $65 and make $200 OBC, but I'd lose the non-refundable $500 deposit for the existing cruise! ( I booked at the cheaper rate). I hate that RCI does that now....

Call back and ask them to price check your reservation. We have NRD and got the additional obc added, our price was the same. We didn’t lose our deposits.

  4. Just booked my first RCCL cruise and am looking over the beverage packages.

What do drink prices run on the ship? I can't decide if any of these packages are a good deal or not.

We're not huge drinkers. When we sailed Carnival we brought on the one bottle of wine per person we were allowed and had that at dinner, then ordered soda packages. I don't think Royal allows us to bring on wine, and we do like that at dinner. How many drinks a day does it take to break even on these things?

Royal does allow two 750 ml bottles of wine and/or champagne per cabin.

  5. Is this specifically for your Oasis cruise? Prices may be different for summer cruises. Note, the flyer states, "Prices per day starting from..." So, Royal can really make the price whatever they want to. This is why I had never considered buying a package until I found a great deal for our upcoming Allure cruise.

Ha ha yes. The rep just kept repeating this is the price now offered. And wouldn't give the normal price to compare the 20% off to. This was the second time I called.

  6. Haha I love it! How some assume people don't read the fine print. It's the first thing I look at in a sale. And still the online system wouldn't pick the best offer, only the C&A discount. Which now I believe has been fixed, as I tried a mock booking on my phone. And it seems people had issues with reps over the phone. Now in the fine print it does not say hey don't put in your C&A number to get the obc. Or you have to call in to get the on obc if your are a C&A member, so you can apply your # to also get your points. Only that you can't combine the two. Which I'm pretty sure no one tried to do or asked for...

  7. Someone not aware starts booking a cruise with the obc. Meaning they are not logged in... Then gets to where you put in all your info, the system then changes to the C&A discount without asking. So you don't notice if you don't know this will happen and you pay deposit. So yeah it is kinda a bait and switch for the unaware. There should be an option of which one you want and a pop up if the system changes it.

  8. We were on the week before in cabin 1054. Right next to the glass elevators. While we could here the music some, it was more like a tv turn down really low. No one out of the 7 in our cabin had trouble with the noise. We encounter great service from all crew members on this past trip. Sorry your experience wasn't as enjoyable.

  9. Here's a suggestion to those in such a situation - ask the cabin steward to go to the bowels of the ship and get you one of the old mattresses - I'm sure there are still some on board as the switch out occurs during the sailing.

I should have taken a picture of what they did with the old mattresses off of Brilliance. As there were not one, but a few dumpsters full of old mattresses sitting next her. We were told they were switching them on turn over day.

  10. They haven't really increased prices. This flyer shows the price with gratuity included, some other flyers or parts of the website show it without gratuity, eg $35 for select package but gratuity is then added when purchase is made.

I don't have an issue with the price of the package and all that's is nice to know. But I would still like to know about the $8 thing.
