  1. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes...and if it's like last week, he won't...and you'll be finding trusted crew members who know and like you to actually fill you in when you press them for the truth...

Ships shouldn't work that way...and I stand by that this Captain should be fired for the way he runs the ship with the passengers. Passengers have the right to know about mechanical issues when those issues are happening!

    Captain owes you jack squat.

  2. You're telling me. We drove from NY down to Baltimore, and sailed up to NY. lmao. We made the best of it, and had an awesome time in Little Italy and Times Square.

Not to mention, we all got $250 pp onboard credit, we upgraded our cabin (free) from a 4k to an extended balcony on the 7th floor. By the time we sailed back down to Baltimore, there was only 700 people onboard. We had the ship to ourselves. In addition, we got 50% off a future cruise (which we are going on in March 2018).

In 2012 we were on the Pride when Hurricane Sandy hit, and the coast guard closed the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. We were literally on the ship, had lunch (and my mother was unpacked), and they canceled our cruise.

But I did learn my lesson. I will never ever book another cruise during hurricane season.

    Twice bitten. lol

That Matthew trip, while NY was disappointing, turned out to be the best cruise I've been on. Ship was empty, no lines, and great weather just cruising up and down the coast. Not to mention credit and half off like you said. Best Cruise Ever!

  3. Ships due back Saturday and Sunday will most likely not make it back to port... Latest cone of death has South Florida under Tropical Storm conditions by Saturday... Not sure what's the plan for 3 Day cruises this coming Friday, Bahamas will probably be off limits as well as the Florida Keys...

    Cone of death?

  4. Thank you for asking. I am struggling to figure our what up/scale businss sweat pants are. I know in my arrea, anyone who cametowork in a professional, business office wearing sweat pants, might be poken with. I have never seen sweat pants I would call a good look for MDR at diner or for work in b uusiness offic e.

I so hope OP can share a link to a photo off such pants or tell us where we can look on line to buy them.

I would say no to the swetr pants that I am imagining but like I said, I would wish to see a photo.

I should say, that way back when, it took me a little while to get used to the idea of 'nice jeans'at dinner in MDR but I am really fine ab out it now that I have learned what 'nice jeans' are. :) And yes, there , indeed, are nice jeans

  5. I would like to agree with you but the man sitting at the table next to us on the Breeze last week on the second Elegant night really makes me wonder.

Baseball cap, T-shirt, camouflage shorts and flip flops. He also seemed rude. Never heard him say please or thank you and pretty much every request to the server began with "Will you get me....."

This just tacky and gauche. I am much more refined than this rube.

  6. At the risk of being indelicate, is the member of your party that weighs 280 lbs in good physical shape and a good swimmer? Would he be able to climb the boat's ladder to reboard? Would he fit in a snorkel vest, a requirement for many snorkel tour providers? Even if it wasn't an insurance issue, it is understandable why, from a safety perspective, the Sea Cow might choose not to allow him to participate.

On the positive side, you could all take the water taxi to Klein Bonaire and snorkel on your own: http://www.watertaxikleinbonaire.com. This would mean bringing your own gear, but provides an excellent alternative.

How insensitive and ignorant. No matter how fat someone is, it's never appropriate to refer to them as a "Sea Cow."

  7. We enjoyed the Steak House but the ship is small, run down, and dirty. On member of our group was given a voucher for a fee cruise as we left, he told them to keep it.

The only thing you have been correct about the October Pride cruise is, well, nothing. The only bad thing on the Pride is David's steaks and service.

  8. Would love to be able to play pickleball (fastest growing sport) December 4-11, 2016. Check out blog.pickleballcentral.com. Played on the NCL Pearl to the Caribbean on their Moody Blues Cruise. Deluxe PickleNet Portable Rolling Net stowed away easily (<not expensive, either are paddles and onix balls). Cruise ships sport courts are ideal for the pickleball player (and anyone from 9-90, easy to learn and less stressful than tennis, etc.). Pickleball should be promoted as a natural combination to attract seniors (and the young) who love cruises and pickleball. More cruises are being planned! How 'bout it Getaway? I'd be glad to help others learn. It's such a great, social, fun, addictive sport!:):):D:cool:

Whatever the pickleball industry is paying you as a lobbyist, they should double it!
