  1. Good morning!

Does anyone know the earliest approximate departure time from the Apex on debarkation morning? The itinerary shows a 5am arrival, but not sure what time debarkation actually begins. We're looking to get off ASAP on the 14th. Anyone from the previous sailings have any input? Thanks!

Yes, they do the testing onboard.  I was on the 17th Apex sailing, and they did all testing on the last day.  We debarked on the Saturday, and all testing had to be done on Friday.  I think your test on the 13th should be fine, but definitely check Sherpa Travel. https://apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions?affiliateid=gateone&nationality=USA&departureDate=2021-08-07&returnDate=2021-08-15&tripType=roundTrip&transitType=noTransit&fullyVaccinated=true&language=en-US

I input your dates, and this was the return info:

Travelers must have an original printed or electronic negative COVID-19 viral test result (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, or Antigen: Rapid). The test must be performed a maximum of 3 days before the first scheduled departure time in the flight itinerary.

Thank you! As long as it's the last day, it'll work perfectly! 🙂 Hope it was a great cruise!

  3. Hi everyone,

We are headed on Apex from 8/7-8/14 but our flight home to the USA isn't until 8/15. Does anyone know when they do the complimentary test onboard? When I did Royal earlier this month they did it three days prior to debarkation which means it wouldn't be valid for the day after you got off the ship to come home. Is Celebrity Apex doing it 3 days prior to debarkation too or can you amend the date?

    Thanks!

  4. Hi everyone! Just booked a Spectrum OTS Silver Suite (J4 category) and I see we are given access to the Silver Dining & Lounge. Does the silver lounge include free alcoholic beverages or is it just a suite bar that still requires payment for drinks? Can’t seem to find any good info about the Silver Lounge! Also I know junior suites get double C&A points, but does a WS category (junior suite guarantee) also get double points?

    Thanks!

  5. Yea, I currently have an oceanview cabin on the March 29th. The Balcony is an extra $350/pp from what I paid. Just wasn't sure if it'd be worth it if it's going to be cold. When I did the QM2 from NY to South Hampton, I hardly spent time on the balcony because it was low 50s the entire time and with the wind chill, it was probably in the 40s.

  6. Hi everyone,

I looked through posts about getting a balcony stateroom on a TA with respect to temperature, but most of the posts were about fall or April sailings. Has anyone done a TA cruise at the end of March? Our is from Miami to Rome, and I'm considering getting a balcony. However, it may not be worth it if it's going to be chilly most of the time. I know that the weather can be unpredictable, but how unpredictable? Is it generally going to be in the 40s, 50s, 60s for the first part of the journey?

Also, does RCCL have lots of activities on board for the TA cruises?

    Thanks in advance!

  7. My friend and I are on a tight budget for this cruise. I know I can find a relatively good deal on the all-inclusive package for around $49.99. Are there any specific websites anyone recommends to book? We would rather not book through the cruise line.

Next, I know we'll have to get a taxi there. We really only want to lay in a chair on the beach and go in the pool. Is this stuff free or do you need to get a package? We aren't really drinkers and we can just pay for food if we want.

    Thanks!
