I’m thinking about booking this excursion for me and my husband. We are cruising on the Sky Princess first week of October. Has anyone done this excursion?  If so, any comments would be greatly appreciated. We both enjoy fishing and hope we might see some of the coastal areas by boat while fishing. Thank you

We have had anytime dining and once we found out that we could make reservations, never had much of a wait. 

Are TAs limited with which staterooms they can book?  I noticed that online through a Princess there were several availability, but through the TA only a couple to choose from. I’m looking at the Sky for next Oct New England/Canada.

If we dropped our form in the box at the end of our cruise, how long does it usually take to get an email or for it to show up in our personalizer?  We finished our cruise on the 26th and haven’t seen anything yet.  I’m hoping it didn’t get lost.

We just got off the Royal Princess (Western Caribbean) and had a wonderful time.

Matt O was very energetic and informative, he and his team were great!  They kept everyone entertained and involved, they were quick to get activity choices out when our stop at Grand Cayman was cancelled and genuinely did all they could to ensure passengers were enjoying themselves.  At times, he may have seemed “over the top” but I would venture to say to have a job like this, you need to be.

Thanks so much for all the replies and tips. I checked with Verizon and we can use our travel pass while in port for $10 day so that will help. I will also caution my husband about being sure to log off after downloading any email.

We are planning to get the basic internet Pkg, just want to be able to check email each day. Is the access for our cabin, or specific to a person/device. We are leaving soon for the Western Caribbean, our last cruise was Alaska, so we didn’t have to worry about it, we just used our phones while in port.

I typically book privately to avoid or "beat the crowds" from the ships. 

This time, it did not work in my favour. We got to the site early enough, and then waited until the cruise tour arrived.

We thought about zip lining, had a great zip line tour on our Alaska cruise, but I had to have rotator cuff surgery a couple of years ago and am a little leary about zip lining. Other than Nachi Cocom, we are using the ships excursions this time. Fortunately we have some good OBCs that we can use.

We finalized our excursions for our Western Caribbean cruise last night and I’m now going through my “cruise” wardrobe and getting excited.  This will be our 2nd cruise, the 1st was Alaskan and was awesome. We stayed very busy every day, this time we are going for a more laid back, relaxing vacation. No excursion planned for Grand Cayman, just thought we’d walk around some, maybe take a taxi/bus to the beach for a bit and call it good. Mahogany Bay, planning the beach Pkg for 2 with a little snorkeling, Belize - Barrier Reef snorkeling and island stop, will probably spend the afternoon on the ship after our excursion. After reading about Nachi Cocom on the boards, we booked it for our stop in Cozumel.  Are there any “must see” places anyone can recommend?  Thank you all for the posts I’ve read through, always helpful. 

Great, thank you. We may choose one port to just go in, walk around some and then go back to the ship and enjoy a day with smaller crowds. Now, I just have to figure out which port to do that in. 🙂 

We are sailing with the Royal on Jan 19th. I was looking st the Bon Voyage Pkg that we can pre order, assuming it would be delivered to our room prior to our arrival. However, I have read threads that say alcohol won’t be pre delivered. Is this the case? Or can I request it be delivered? I did this with our Alaska cruise several years ago and I thought sure it was there when we arrived, but honestly can’t be sure. 

Another tender ?  Do they run throughout the day while in port  or just specific blocks of  time to go ashore and return?  

I buy Christmas ornaments at each port. I tried to find ornaments that had a design on them related to the excursion at that port or something we saw. For example, after a whale watching excursion I found an ornament with a whale on it, in Juneau we saw eagles everywhere so I bought an ornament with eagles painted on it. I write the date and places on the bottom of the ornaments. Every year it's so much fun to pull out my ornaments from years of memories from vacations and road trips!

I also try to buy a Christmas ornament from places we visit, but never thought to put the date on them.

Prices seem to be pretty reasonable to me. We will carry our 2 bottles on to have in our cabin and then order bottles while in the dining room. :) Can't wait!!!

Just got home from this fantastic sailing to Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan, and Victoria. I plan to write a more detailed review, but thought I'd at least get the thread started in case there were any questions I could answer.

I wore black ones on a past cruise and they were perfect. I wore them on one of the formal nights with a sparkly shell and jacket. Have gotten silver and white ones for my next cruise. Only downside is that I have to have them shortened (they never seem to come in petite sizes).

Have any of you worn the wide leg chiffon pants? I see Dillards has some, they're cut.....but it's one of those things I'm just not sure about.

 

I don't necessarily mean for formal night, but dressed up on other nights.

I was wondering about those as well, I have a pair and they are so comfortable and easy to pack. I have a couple of sparkly tops I think I will bring along to wear with them on our Alaskan cruise.
