Just to add...one of my dinner companions had an electric scooter and he was always accommodated. All the shows and venues he was all over the ship. Believe or not he even went zip-lining. Carnival was great#

Hi everyone!
I will be pregnant when we sail and be going with my mother who is elderly. I have the ports planned for Mahogany Bay & Cozumel but I’m really needing advice about Belize. With my pregnancy and my mother being elderly, we are looking for a relaxing, low activity excursion. So, no cave tubing, zip lines, hikes, ruins, snorkeling, etc. Does anyone know of any tours (shopping, lunch, beach) or beach packages? The few beach excursions I see have bad reviews about the beach being shell-y, dirty water and also that it’s not exactly safe to go shop/explore alone. It’s making me question if we should just stay on the ship that day. Any help would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Someone who is only going because carnival gave me a free cruise and it's my last relaxing trip before 18+ years of parenthood
As a mother of two (now grown!)
My best advice is to sleep late , enjoy the room service, appreciate someone else doing all the cleaning.
Have wonderful long talks with your Mother and crab as much quiet time as you can. Have a great cruise/vacation...think of it like the CALM before the STORM!

Just a quick thought....Because I do a lot of solo cruising although admittedly not for so long. I have pretty much met great fellow travelers ( very few exceptions! ) when doing the more formal dining. But it depends on whether you enjoy being open to new encounters.

Yes I'm a solo traveler so I don't have a fellow traveler to split the expenses. I'm going to call my TA and see if it's doable!

Thanks you're right I'm not in the right thread. I just thought I could use the cheaper Carnival transfer from the airport to the port. Flying in a day earlier and then returning to the airport (on the day of the cruise) just for the purpose of getting the Carnival transportation.
Anyway I'll post this in Carnival.

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask this question but here goes. Can you use Carnival Airport transfer (which is only $30) if you fly in the day before?
Meaning I would shuttle back to the Airport to catch Carnival transportation to port. Does that sound feasible?

I'm sailing the Splendor out of NYC in OCT. Any suggestions for hotels that will get me to the pier? Which Airport is convenient for hotels and the port?

Thanks for the review! I'm going on the same cruise in April. Trying to learn what I can about the Liberty. I cruised on the Miracle last year and truly loved that ship. I don't have an assigned OV cabin yet so I'm hoping to be lucky. :-)

Unfortunately no! I do Solo most of the cruises and you just get the days for yourself!
