  1. Our cruise ends in Montreal and I assume that we have to disembark rather early. Our flight home to Orlando does not leave Montreal until 6 P. M. I had thought that we could have Luggage Direct take our luggage to the airport but when I contacted them they advised me that they can not do any international flights because of customs regulations. Does anyone have any ideas about what to do with luggage while we explore Montreal. We are an elderly couple and my husband has mobility problems. I do not want to just spend the day in the airport nor would we be able to cart our luggage around with us. The reviews of the shore excursion that Holland American offers with sights of Montreal and transportation to the airport state that often the bus gets to the airport by noon and that would still leave 6 hours of sitting in the airport.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We had no choice of flights as it was most important that we take a direct flight and this 6 P.M. one was the only one available.

  2. We are looking for a very convenient place to stay for one night prior to a cruise out of Boston on August 15. We are flying into Boston at about 6 P.M. on the 14th ... my husband will use a wheel chair in the airport but then just have the use of a walker until we get on the ship. Shuttle service from the airport to the hotel is preferred and then some kind of easy shuttle or taxi service to the port. Not real experienced travelers so convenience is important but don't want to spend a fortune either.

  3. We have booked a Holland America cruise out of Boston on the Maasdam ... my husband needs a wheel chair to get around the ship as he tires easily when walking long distances. We were told to call Care Vacations which I did. We thought we could just use a "companion wheelchair" as it is much lighter (19lbs) instead of (44 lbs ) for a regular wheel chair (price is the same so not the issue) ... however the agent I j spoke with told me they have had complaints that since the companion chair has very small wheels it is much harder to push on carpeting ... has anyone had any experience with this chair on ships ... he will not be wheeling himself and we just thought the lighter chair would be easier to use on shore excursions.
