    Thank you Spencer...

The same ports as mentioned in my OP.. Cozumel, Costa Maya, Mahogany Bay.

We haven't decided what to do in Cozumel or Costa Maya but have a private tour set up already for Mahogany Bay (Roatan) with Victor Bodden.

Is that a wheelchair van service in Mahogany Bay? In Cozumel I always use ThisisCozumel. This March I am just going to chankanaab park in Cozumel and on a drive around Jamaica.

  2. I am a quadriplegic travel agent and I have had pretty decent experiences with all the cruise lines as far as wheelchair cabins. The freedom rooms should be great with roll in shower and everything. I mainly only choose Carnival for the price value and port. I prefer other cruise lines but would not pass up carnival if everything looks favorable. What ports are you thinking about visiting and are you planning on any excursion.

  3. Hi guys I'm going on the allure of the seas on May 18 and I am wondering if I can return to my car in the port parking lot. I am disabled and I will have some medical equipment with me that I do not want to lug around while my room is not ready yet. We have a reservation at Giovanni's at noon and I really do not want to drag all this crap with us. If we can run to the vehicle real quick that would be awesome.

  4. Allure is out of my budget at this current point in time, but either way the only week I can travel is august 12. It might be a solo cruise so still weighting my options, most likely divina or getaway.

My friend was on holy ship music cruise and said the Divina was the sexiest ship at sea. I am going on the allure of the seas in three weeks but after seeing the Swarovski Crystal's in the staircase on Divina I think I'm going to go for it. That infinity pool looks amazing too

    OUR 1ST AND 2ND OFFICER.

SO These guys are amazing. The 1st officer in the white shirt is 23 and from Canada, the 2nd officer in the dark shirt is 21 and from New Zealand. What a future they have!!!

After the tour we meet our wives in the MDR for lunch, yes the TUTTI SALAD bar once again, and a few items from the menu. Menu items were Ok, nothing worth writing about… So the ship is still rocking and I decided that the best thing to do was TAKE A LONG NAP! and so I did!!

Now tonight being the second formal night, Lobster was going to be served in the MDR and I was not going to miss that! But my wife had a different idea, “Let’s go back to Chops for dinner”. Oh, what am I going to do? You see, I do know if you remember the 5 words a husband needs to know for a successful ( and mostly happy) marriage ( 25 years this month!), and the first two are YES DEAR! So I did an unusual Surf and Turf, Turf in Chops and Surf in the MDR!! Worked like a charm!!

Sorry not food porn from tonight, Chops was already done and we had the same items, and I did not bring the camera to MDR.

After dinner we all went to see Come Fly With Me, a very entertaining show with some dancing, singing, acrobatics and stunt work. A MUST to see, but I have to say I enjoyed Blue Planet on the Allure a little better.

After the show a nightcap in Central Park and then I took out the camera to take some pictures of the Boardwalk late at night. I have to say that these two pictures are in my top favorites of this review. Please post what was your favorite pictures of this review.

Tomorrow the final day, another dinner at 150 Central Park, some more printed information sheets, and some final thoughts

    Those pictures are ridiculously awesome

  6. Can you enlighten the rest of us with your findings ? What specifically did NCL copy from each line ?

Watch NCL undercover boss. They tried fake ice skating on rubber mats with ky jelly squirt all over it, rock climbing wall, leveling pool table. From carnival the rope course. From Princess the movie screen. Freestyle cruising was actually an expanded version of Princess cruises personal choice dining. Whatever they all copy benefits us the consumers. People seem so heated on these topics I personally will continue to go on any cruise ship over any land based vacations.

  7. Dream on. This won't be scrapped. It's not like they've put up removable partitions in the space where a MDR (or two) would occupy. It would be prohibitably expensive to retrofit these ships.

I'll go along with the notion that this may be a "experiment" (as you call it) before deciding that any future ships use the same model, but these two ships are what they are. If I were a betting man though, I'd expect every new ship (across most cruise lines) will feature something similar to Dynamic Dining.

Yeah it is probably going to be on those ships forever but if it isn't successful with good ratings they are not going to spend the money to convert older ships.

  8. I find the carts are a problem no matter where my cabin is. I always get by though.

On a side note....were you able to utilize the balcony with the wheelchair? I'm on the Liberty in July with an accessible balcony cabin and I can't find anyone who can tell me if I will be able to get out on the balcony in the chair.

I know somebody that was on and you will not have a problem the balconies are twice as wide and the chairs are off to one side.

  9. I am now a full-time wheelchair user and loyal Caribbean seems the best. There is no modified cabin. They are either fully accessible or not and you can book them online without any issues. The access department contact you ahead of time for all the required needs. They even have a chart showing the rooms that have grab bars on the left or right they will even go as far as ensuring pre-or post-hotel reservations to your specifications

  10. Both of these cruise lines are more or less similar as far as dining the only difference with freestyle is no formal nights. More choices is just a trend that can be seen on cruise ships and around America. Those new Royal Caribbean ships seem to take that to a new level though.
