  1. I just got it to work for Cheers, 12:05 AM eastern time with the original pricing of $51.95.   I logged out and logged back in before trying it just to refresh my session and make sure the pricing had not changed.   Good luck if you try again.

Edit: 12:22 AM - I see the prices have changed now.  I did check my confirmation email and the pricing I got was definately the old price tiers.  I guess I got lucky, hope some of you kept trying and did as well.

I was on this cruise too. Gary's faces were so funny! I felt it was too crowded, but fun. How did you like it?

CD Gary was a lot of fun.  I would agree at times some areas felt crowded, but for us it didn't seem that it was a daily occurrence.  We usually cruise at Spring Break time, this was our first summer time cruise in a long time.  I expected it to be at capacity.

Our kids (10, 10, 11, 17 y/o) always have a good time, I'd say from an adult perspective we were 75% pleased with the trip overall.

  3. On my last three cruises I've ordered a variety of items - decorations, cookies, Carnival gear/toys for my kids - it's always been in the cabins when we arrive.  The decorations have been set up, and the other items left on the beds or counter tops.

Like others have said when you create your order you should be able to choose which day you want the item(s) delivered.  I've already selected the first day of the trip.  There's also a section in the online order form to create a message that you can semi-customize, the message will be printed and left in the cabin for the kids to read.

I've also always had Faster to the Fun or a Suite too - I don't know if that makes a difference when it's delivered or just a coincidence that my purchases were always waiting for us.

Green Eggs and Ham breakfast is only one morning of the cruise, there will be a sign up table in an obvious location on board the first day to get on the list.  There is also a small up-charge for that event.

I hope everyone enjoys their first cruise!

  4. Thanks for sharing all that information.

    Any tips?

Definitely get the Carnival Hub App (free download and to use) - very helpful with events, maps, and being able to see your account.

The internet packages are convenient but the connection is slow, I really got it so I could use FB messenger to communicate with family back home ($5/day or $22 for the whole cruise). The chat feature of the Hub App ($5.00 upgrade) worked well to communicate with everyone on board.

Watch the clock on your device compared to ship's time. At some point my phone clock updated (probably via GPS) and we missed an event or two because my phone (and apple watch) were off by an hour. And when you phone time changes it also affect the Hub App.

If you planning to do the steakhouse - be patient - we were there for 2.5 hours on the last night. It's a big change from the regular dinning room where you are in and out within an hour to hour and a half.

Cruise elegant was the 2nd night (sea day).

If you are a drinker, visit Alchemy Bar, great concoctions and the bartenders there had rapport with their guests.

if you are going to do Cheers be sure the get it online before for $49.95/day vs. $54.95/day on board.

If I think of other things I'll add them.

  5. Some of the Youth Programs.

The Stingrays 6-8 years old and Sharks 9 - 11 years old I was told share the same schedule. And they share the same space in the Camp Ocean facility.

I had two 8 year olds and a 9 year old sibling (she just turned 9 a week prior to the cruise) and the camp director said they wouldn't be separated unless I allowed the 9 year old to self sign out which I didn't.

Club O2 for teens 15 - 17 years old. I did not get a copy of the Circle C program (12 - 14 years old).

  6. Just off the Carnival Valor today 3/16/17. 5-day from Galveston to Cozumel, Progreso and back.

Have 4 of the 5 day FunTimes (my apologies for losing Sunday's FunTimes).

Will also try to post the Camp Ocean, Club O2, and some other miscellaneous document scans.

  7. I've recently purchased my Carnival G.C.'s at Lowes Home Improvement (up to $500 each card) with my Lowes store credit card they always have interest free payments on any purchases of $299 or more for 6 months. Sometimes they have longer interest free periods at higher dollar amounts (example $999+ purchase for 12 months interest free etc).

I purchases G.C.'s recently to pre-pay Cheers and I'll bring the remaining balances on board to load to my on board account and pay it off over the 6 months interest free with auto-payments. Just have to remember to pay it off on time!

  8. Just off the Magic Monday morning on the 4 day cruise to Cozumel -

I have scanned the current docs for any interested persons or first timers wondering what goes on onboard. The docs I attached are:

    Daily Funtimes (Thursday - Sunday)

    Camp Ocean (6 - 8 year old) and Circle C (12 - 14 year old)

Missing Saturday's tear off schedule from the Funtimes - if it turns up I'll scan it and add it later.

  9. Thanks Shodan, the link showing which ships had AT& T access was very helpful, after speaking with AT&T we are going to order their 30 Day for 30 Bucks plan. Unlimited texting onboard and 120MB data. Phone calls are free. We won't use the data so that is OK. Thanks for the help.

Welcome. But did they specifically say that plan was good on the ship? Everything I read about that plan says it's for international use only.

I had been looking for something similar with AT&T myself for my March trip and didn't really find the details that said it would work onboard.

  10. check this link for AT&T - the rates are at the bottom of the list.

    http://www.att.com/travelguide/coverage/coverage_details.jsp?CIDL=1578&MNC=CING

The AT&T Cruise packages with voice, text, and data aren't available on Carnival or at least not listed here:

    http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/international/roaming.html

you can't add the Passport plan and use it onboard - it's in the fine print it's only for international when off ship.

Depending on your cruise some ships have the Carnival Hub app (Breeze) or social media packages for a nominal fee. Might want to search for your particular ship to see what options the onboard wifi/internet options are.
