  1. I am currently on a waiting list for both first and second seating on the pacific princess.   A blurb popped up and said if my waitlist didn’t clear I would be assigned anytime dining.  It was my understanding that this ship only had one dining room.  Where do they seat for anytime dining?

Does the Regal offer 2 for 1 on the first night in the Crown Grill ?

No.  Plus, it's usually quite crowded as suites eat in a specialty restaurant free the first night.

  3. The first day of our cruise we went to vines and asked the bartenders to see the wine menu.  She replied that she didn’t know where it was!  We simply never went back there. In talking with fellow passengers it appears very few got there first or second choice when ordering wine.

  4. Originally booked a mini-suite.  Took the upsell to a full back of the ship suite on Baja deck Aft.  We have sailed in this suite before and it's fabulous!  Huge wrap a round balcony is what we live for.  Some mornings soot some mornings not.

First night we ate at the Crown grill because it was free.  We got what we paid for.  Meat was not cooked how we ordered but the sides and the wine were good!

Speaking of food, at home husband and I are low/no carb eaters.  On vacation carbs do not count (doh!) so therefore I think the food was quite tasty especially the curries.

Went to the $25 wine tasting.  We were not impressed.  Pours were skimpy.  That being said, when we tried to order a bottle of one of the wines we had tasted for dinner we were told they had no more.  Why have you taste wines that they don't keep in stock?!

Went to the $40 wine tasting dinner and loved it!!  Copious amounts off food and wine and such a friendly group of people.  It was help in a beautiful section on the dining room.

Had dinner one night at the Ocean Terrace.  Yummo!  Tried to order a bottle of wine and waiter kept on coming back and saying they were out of whatever bottle we had just ordered.  Finally got a bottle.

Drink service was super duper fast at both the Wheel house and Crooners and around the pools.  Cocktail servers were very friendly.

AJ Clarke is a Princess treasure!  He was performing in Crooners and also did a show in the Vista lounge.  So personable and what a talent!  He plays the piano and sings beautifully.

Also had the ultimate balcony breakfast because it was complimentary.  Man do they bring a lot of food and a half bottle of champagne.

Never went to Sabitinis for breakfast as we had the huge balcony and quite frankly do not enjoy the atmosphere.

Any questions I'll be happy to answer.

  5. It appears from the deck plans on Princess that the Aft suites on the Regal vary in size. Some look considerably wider than others. Is this true? or just not a exact deck plan rendering? Anyone have any experience/favorite aft suite aboard the Regal?

  6. We did the 7 day cruise last October from Vancouver to Los Angeles. It was on the Star. It was superb. The weather on the other hand was not the best. Was cold and rainy in Vancouver and Seattle. We missed the port of Astoria due to weather. But once we got to San Francisco it was 80 and sunny! That being said, would go on this cruise again as we didn’t let the weather deter us from doing anything.

  7. Searched Suite benefits and other threads. Do suites on Princess have slippers. We were in a suite last cruise but don’t remember.

We are on Sapphire Princess next week.

    Thank you.

Just off the Star in a PH suite. 2 pair of slippers in closet wrapped in cellophane.

  8. Hello everyone, has anyone attempted to make a 11:25 am Southwest flight from LAX coming from the San Pedro cruise terminal on a Sunday? We do have the TSA precheck status that should help us through security if we are brave enough to attempt this. Just looking for opinions.

We got off the Star yesterday. Purchased the Princess Transfers to LAX. Got off the ship at 815A. Arrived LAX and through with security by 1015A. YMMV.

  9. Most likely but it may depend on the person working at IC. The coffee card is supposed to be for the benefit of the card holder - not the benefit of the card holder's spouse, friend, child, etc. You should have your husband get the card. That way he can have all the fresh-brewed coffee he likes and you can use his punches for foo foo coffee. Sharing punches is perfectly legitimate.

No worries. I belIeve we will get 2 by trading in our mini bar so I will have him take both cards with when he goes to fetch the coffee.

  10. What is inside the lounge? We have booked a Penthouse suite and Premium suite on two Majestic sailings and have not been on a "Royal" class ship before. All of the PH suites we have sailed in the past were on Grand/Star Princess.

For us the best thing was the fancy coffee maker. It is also staffed with a concierge who opened the doors when my hands were full of coffee. However, she laways asked to do anything for us.

  11. Anything we need to know about D737 other than the bed? How is the room steward? Hopefully they can switch the bed for us. It is terrible when you are sleeping in a crater. Maybe..hopefully...they switched the beds out since then!

If your steward is Romulan be prepared to be wowed! He was the best we've ever had! Also the happiest. He just wanted to do everything for us. We spent a lot of time on the balcony which was wonderful. Suite was typical vs suite. We usually get either d737 or d736 as we love the location. Truly, the bed was the only negative thing about the suite. Enjoy!

  12. So sad...we are Vista D737, where were you? Possibly between then and now they did get them? Now I am worried. The Princess person actually contacted the ship to find out.

That's the exact suite we were in! I truly hope for your sake they switched out the bed! It was no bueno😞

  13. I called Princess today, as we will be on the CB very shortly and was wondering if they had the new beds. The gal was really good. She called the "dispatch" on the CB ship and said, all the suites have the new beds! She said the other rooms will be upgraded in March sometime. Thought anyone on this ship would want to know. Happy New Year.

We disembarked her mid December in a vista suite--no new bed😞

  14. An old friend called tonight and said that her cabin for a Baltic cruise next summer is showing up on the Princess site as available. Yet it is in her personslizer. My only thought is that she may have received an upgrade but hadn't been told yet.

Has this happened to any of you?

Yes! This happened to me last December. I called Princess and they assured me that everything was ok I was indeed booked in the cabin that was showing available. This did not calm my worries that they would resell our cabin. The next day it was showing unavailable but I still thought someone could have reserved it during the time it was available. My fears were unfounded as we got on the ship and had the correct cabin but nobody at Princess could tell met why this happened.
