Yes you can pay the difference.  The Classic limit is $10 so for a $20 glass of wine you would pay $10 +20% gratuity.

You may want to consider watching for a flash sale on upgrading the beverage package.  Not to long ago some sailings had a flash sale where the upgrade with gratuity was $10.80 per night.

I asked my travel agent to let me know. She’s been very helpful and was able to find a$1200 reduction in my fare.

I read on Celebrity's website that the Classic Drink Package only includes drinks up to $10 on the menu.  I thought it was a little more than that.  Aside from domestic beers, there are no cocktails $10 or less when I took a quick look in the Celebrity App of a current sailing.  This is a rip off.  They already excluded gratuities from their All Inclusive pricing.  Can someone validate that it is drinks up to $10 only?

I’m still confused about the difference between the packages if I decide I want a wine from the premium list am I allowed to buy that and pay the difference?

it is a rip off...basically forces you to upgrade unless you are soley a beer drinker.  I was on the Celebrity Eclipse last year, with the Classic drink package but was able to get some wine and cocktails without having to pay extra.

  3. I’m cruising to Alaska in September on the Celebrity Summit. I have the Classic Beverage package but may upgrade to Premium.
If I purchase a bottle of wine,  am I charged the full amount minus the discount?
Do the packages only apply to glasses of wine?
Can I buy a bottle of wine at dinner and bring it to my room?
