Yes. Gambling is legal on the river in LA and the casino opens shortly after you leave port.

I could not say for sure Without seeing your premier cruise offer. It seems our premier offers have come with priority boarding/luggage, but we did not have the FTTF sticker on our S&S card so we could not use the express lane at guests services.

I don't know why Carnival does it, but that is the norm. We have had it on our luggage tags when we had a suite but did not purchase FTTF. You are good to go, hope you have a great trip!

My son has been able to use snap chat on the social plan, it is just slow. I am able to load pics up to FB with very little issue. We have noticed on the last several cruises that the Internet speed becomes increasingly slower toward the end of the cruise and the last day it has be almost non existent. I think it has a lot to do with people waiting until that time to purchase access. This has happened with both the social and the premium plans we purchase.

The aft balconies on deck nine are almost completely covered. You are right under the Lido, so during the day you will hear chairs being moved around a bit (and sometimes at night) but I would put my headphones on to listen to music and it did not bother me at all. The showers are the same size. I have read others say they have used the showers in the spa that are open to everyone.

We had a great head waiter on Dream at Christmas. His last contract had been on Sunshine and he also said they were making some improvements to the crew area. According to him, that area had no updates done when they did the big renovation.

Thanks for the thread! We are sailing on her for Christmas this year. Couple of questions:
The muster drill - they use the process where everyone stands in rows on the outside deck?
Red Frog Pub - Do they have tabletop shuffleboard and/or Foosball?
-
I'll ask again since my question has not been answered: Has JH reneged on his assurance he made that the forms would be changed to include a tick box for "both" services?
I don't know if I would say he had reneged on his statement, but on my December Dream cruise there was no third option on the form for both.

You must've accidentally overlooked my reply asking what site can I go to to see these survey results myself. I'd love to see them.
John Heald asked for peoples opinions on his FB page on 1/18/16.

So sad....you do not own shares of Carnival Cruise Lines. No one does.
Not sure if you are trying to point out that the stock is issued for Carnival Corp and not the actual Carnival Cruise Line segment of the company or if you really don't know that Carnival Corp is traded on the NYSE.

Do most buy lanyards prior to the cruise or wait and get them on the ship? Going to check Amazon!
We always take our Auburn lanyards with us. You can get them at any of the bookstores or online. War Eagle!

We sailed her for the first time over spring break and will be on her again for Christmas. We had a great time. The only thing we missed was the sushi restaurant and table top shuffleboard they have on the Breeze. Food was consistent with other ships, staff was great and we love the trip down the river!

Don't think I saw photographs on the list.

I have had afts on deck 9 of both the Dream and the Breeze and they were completely covered. Love this location and i believe the same holds true for deck 9 on the magic. Two things that may be a deal breaker for some.
There is noise from the Lido, but if you are a heavy sleeper or do not mind wearing ear plugs it is not an issue.
These are not private balconies. The walls on each side are high and gradually lower to around waist high at the railing.

We used the in house phone system and voicemail. Whenever DS would go to a different location he would go to the nearest house phone and call in or left a voicemail if we were not in the room. We were also very specific on the rules. I think one problem is that as parents we keep things at a high level and just assume they know everything else that should not be done. I googled something like "rules for cruising tweens" and found some great lists that included things I had never thought of. I don't presume my son will never make a bad choice, but I know him well enough to know he is pretty responsible. He also knows exactly what will happen if he does make an error in judgement and that I am known to show up for a spot check at any time.

We had one lounger and one chair on our Breeze aft. It was not a wrap.

We loved our deck 9 aft on the Breeze last Christmas. It was fully covered and I don't recall ever feeling like the sun was beating down on me. I chose it because it was so shady and I was not disappointed. We have an aft on the same deck booked for our Christmas cruise on the Dream.

We did the same tour with them on our Christmas cruise last year. Top notch outfit! I second your recommendation!

I am a banker who has considerable experience in the payments arena. I understand what you (OP) are saying about the account you plan on using. The holds are not an issue and the money is not necessary for your day to day expenses, so if it is stolen you won't be impacted during the time it takes for the investigation to be completed. I am also lucky (smart) enough to be in a similar position and I NEVER use a debit card. I only use it as an ATM card in an emergency. I do not want to be on the hook for anything and since my credit card has been skimmed and part of a data breach, I would just have soon not have any skin in the game. If you would like some plain English explanation, I suggest that you google the name Clark Howard. Once you get to his website use the search option and type in "using a debit card". There are several articles listed there that may give you more info on the subject.
Also, just to clarify. Credit Unions are not insured by the FDIC, but do have a similar agency in place called the NCUSIF. Neither of these cover fraud on individual accounts.

My experience would indicate that they do try to put kids of similar ages together. The last 3 cruises that we opted for assigned dining we were seated with families with children that were within 2-3 years of my sons age.

No advice on insurance, but as someone who suffered from severe HG, I am so sorry you are having to go through this. Hope it is just a first trimester issue and you get to feeling as good as one can when they are pregnant!

We sailed the Dream in March staying in 8389. There was no issue with privacy on our balcony, but we were just down from a hot tube and it for pretty loud at times.
-
We were on the Breeze in December and as usual my DS14 slept on the sofa bed. I requested that our room steward take one of the comforter pieces and put it under the bottom sheet. This gave just a bit more padding.
Spa Question
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I have not had the particular service that you mention but I am a frequent visitor to land based spas and have had several treatments on board Carnival (including the Dream) and one other Cruise line. I would skip the onboard treatment all together. In my opinion none of them have been worth the money. I have had a great massage at Paradise Beach and much less expensive than the onboard services. Happy Sailing!!
