I thought the same thing. Thought you could not take any food off the ship? If it's permitted, this is a great thing since food in port can be so pricey!

Taking my tenth Carnival Cruise next month and I do have to agree with much said here.
One thing I'd love to see is actual enforcement of the rules, whatever they may be.
Dress code in the dining room. Either eliminate the dress code or enforce it. I'm not looking for tuxedos and gowns but if they say no shorts or flip flops, please escort out those who wear them.
Same for chair savers. Either eliminate the rule or enforce it.
Same for smoking in designated areas.
Really, it seems that employees are scared to enforce the rules in fear of offending the cruiser. What I would love to make clear is that the cruisers around the offender is equally affected.
Finally, and this is just selfish - casinos should offer free drinks to players. That is standard practice in all other gaming situations.
My 2 cents.
The "MUST" pack on a cruise

I am in agreement and have not taken food off ships. Luckily, it's been easy to come back and eat and go back out if we needed to.
I will say that bringing cracker packs and such have gotten us through longer periods until we came back on board. Little cereals are also great.
