    Need suggestion for snorkeling excursion in Nassau

    Back from Nassau yesterday, the Flying Cloud excursion was a huge success!! A beautiful boat, very helpful crew. The shuttle was punctual, and picked us up at Rawsom Square. They had picked up other guests from some hotels first. We only had about 25-30 on the boat. Someone​ people had prepaid,but we had made reservations and paid cash or credit card on the boat. We seat sail at 10 am, and as described​. We had a fantastic day on the water, stopped to snorkel, equipment provided, instruction too. They helped people who needed it. We had a couple small children, and older people, a wide variety of ages. They served a delicious lunch on board. Non stop rum punch,, and water, soda and newer for a nominal fee. We stopped at Rose island the most beautiful beach you ever saw. The sail back was glorious. The shuttle took us back to the ship, stopped at a couple hotels to let other people off. Very clear communication what was going on. It ended up we couldn't get all the way back to the ship on the shuttle, there was a parade in town!? No worries we walked a little farther around parade back to ship, plenty of time. Very Happy with Flying Cloud, happy to answer any questions.

    Has anyone done both in the same day? Just want to experience the planes coming in and then head over to Orient beach which we have visited and really liked in the past..

     

    We're doing Bernard's Tours this July. It was a company mentioned here on Cruise Critic. Their tour takes you to both places plus the French market. I'm looking forward to it!

    Best Way from Port Canaveral to Disney Sports Resort

    We've done a cruise/Disney combo a few times. We book a one-way rental through Alamo with drop-off at the Walt Disney Swan location. It's a hotel in the EPCOT/Hollywood Studios area. You can park the car for free at the All Star Sports Resort (anywhere on Disney property as a resort guest). Once you're ready to turn the car in, just drop it off at the Swan. Then you can take one the Disney buses or ferries to whichever park you're headed to that day.

    We did this exact cruise last year! You'll have a blast!

     

    A few things that we really liked:

    *Sting Ray City in Grand Caymen- We booked through Captain Marvins (not through RC). It was so much fun and we snorkeled at two different spots in addition to the stingrays.

     

    *Dunns River Falls in Jamaica was a really fun adventure. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I ended up loving it. We booked that excursion through RC because it is a drive from the port.

     

    *Make a reservation for the ice show before you leave. It's a good show and a nice way to cool down for a little bit.

    Disney World to Canaveral

    We stayed for a few days at Disney before our last cruise too. I ended up renting a car through Budget. They have a desk at the Doubletree Hotel near Downtown Disney. It's about a ten minute walk from where the Disney bus drops you off in Downtown Disney to the hotel.
