  1. Thank yall so much! I love coming to these forums because I have always had such a great support. I don't think I would ever know so much about cruising without this site. I remember now about basic tips being included but honestly forgot about it because its been 5 years. lol. Thanks again to everyone for all the tips and help. I really appreciate everything.

  2. Greetings all! I am not new to cruising but I am new to Celebrity cruise lines. My husband and I are taking a vacation for our 15 anniversary (we started  going on cruises every five years starting with our honeymoon). We are looking at booking a cruise and found one that fit our budget and timeline. Before I booked I wanted to figure out exactly what it means. Below is what shows up on my payment information as included on the level I am booking (a sky suite).

    The Retreat

    Streaming Wi-Fi

$300 per person in shore excursion and onboard credits

    Premium drinks

    Tips

    Dining

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included at select venues

    Exclusive Access to Luminae

What comes with the premium drinks? Also it says tips? What does that encompass?  It overall seems like a great deal but I wanted to know how much more I will be paying for out of pocket above and beyond what is "included". I appreciate all yalls help in advance.

  3. I have found they are able to find when the prices change and gain me extra on board credit I did not have originally. For example one got us $150 on board credit we didn't have. I know there are ways to keep track of that yourself but I can't keep my daily schedule straight let alone keep up with changes and make phone calls to gain the credits. I find it helpful and no added stress on my part having them.

  4. Thanks everyone! Now we are in a toss up for Jan or April, mostly will depend on our work schedule. I'm 100% that my kids would have fun regardless, we usually take a trip to the beach during the winter and the girls just love playing in the sand. We have a boat that they have taken them on a few times and love it so I would be excited to see their reaction to a cruise ship! I appreciate all the feedback. We are choosing Charleston for sure because of proximity with driving. I think once they get a few more years on them I won't mind driving/flying down to Florida for some more extensive ports.

  5. Hey all,

I have really enjoyed this forum and the vast amount of information and tips everyone is able to provide. I am currently considering booking another cruise with Carnival. This would be our first one bringing ours girls, 3 and 4 with us. We were looking at a 5 day January cruise that leaves from Charleston. The only big concern I have right now for that time of year booking is that I'm thinking it may be too cold to do any water activities with the girls. Could anyone give advice or speak about their experiences with cruises in January? I appreciate all the feedback in advance!
