I decided against paying extra for the Persian Gardens because it did not have individual heated loungers. I also felt like the location was not very secluded/private.

There is a dry sauna in the locker room that you can use for free though. I did use and enjoy that :).

Somewhat related...I did online check in and did not print out the XPress pass. I just showed the pass on the app to the people at the gate and had no problem getting checked in.

We all did have to have our pictures taken at check-in, although I was pretty sure I uploaded them when I checked in online. So I'm not sure what the deal was with that.

Just off Summit today...we used the celebrity app to communicate with our teen daughters. You do all have to have the app open all the time to receive notifications. But as long as it was open, my phone (an android) notified me the same way I receive regular text notifications (sound/vibrate/whatever).

I'm hoping to be there around 10 or 10:30. Depends on traffic conditions since it'll be about a 3 hour drive to the port.

How was the traffic getting to the port? I've watched youtube videos that show 1+ hour waits to get to the luggage drop off point.

I haven't been on liberty, but the 3 rci ships I have been on did not have one. I brought one that suctioned onto the regular mirror. So I was able to use it on both the bathroom and the main cabin mirrors.

We got an extra piece of cheesecake and a song sung to us at dinner. Unfortunately, they were a day late and it came out after we'd already ordered and eaten dessert from the menu.

There's an ice machine in the Park Cafe. There's also one at the wipeout cafe on the pool deck. You can get ice from the freestyle machines too without having a soda package.

For quiet, I also used the aft spot on the running track. The solarium's not so bad with earphones [emoji39]. Central Park can be pretty quiet, too.

I'm just off allure on 7/2. AO was open the first night from 7:30-10:00pm. They did not have family time dining the first night though.

I cruised on RCCL in February with a passport that expired in May. It was fine. On the way through customs coming home, the officer just pointed out its quickly approaching expiration date.

It doesn't matter what kind of dining you have. You just have to have the kids at the meeting point at the correct time.

We registered our kids for AO on the first day. On the second and every following day, AO staff came to the MDR at a set time. I think it may have been 645.

We took the kids to the meeting point and wrote their names on the 'roll' that the staff brought. Then they walked the kids from the MDR over to AO. We could then pick the kids up at 10pm when they closed.

The trick is to have the kids done eating by the time the staff is coming for pick up. If you miss them, then you have to traipse all the way to the other end of the ship and back to drop them off yourself.

We cruised on the Oasis with just-turned 3 yo twins, too. I potty trained them about 4 months before we went. Whenever I dropped them off at AO, we stopped at the bathroom in that area. I wasn't sure they could go unassisted, but I knew they'd be okay for the 2ish hours they'd be there.

Having them picked up at dinner was convenient, but was actually pretty rushed. Maybe that's been resolved by moving early dining to 530.

We got a phone from AO whenever they were there so that they could contact us, if needed. I never worried about their safety there.

My parents enjoyed the tour of.central park. I intend to do that next time.

On the stern of deck 5 (where the track is) there are Adirondack chairs. I liked sitting back there and watching the ship's wake.

My girls were 10 and 12 on the Oasis. We signed them up for kids club on the first day (registration times were in the compass). We checked off that they were allowed to check themselves out. The only ended up going once during the week and didn't stay long.

We just made them stay together, but gave them. freedom to go do whatever they wanted. They found plenty to do without the kids club.

We're going on allure this summer and they'll be 14 and 16. I guess we'll see if the teen activities are more appealing to them 😃.

I'm not sure which deck we were on, but 11 sounds right. Yes, we were forward. I only remember feeling a lot of motion one night - sliding closet doors sort of motion. Otherwise, it was negligible.

My DH, who has trouble with motion, didn't have any problem on Oasis. On navigator, he had to take Dramamine the whole time. It didn't bother me in either case. And the kids were completely fine.

Our family of 6 stayed in one a couple of years ago.

Yes, there's storage under the bunk beds.

There's no privacy curtain.

There was plenty of room to store everything in closets.

Our main problem was finding places to hang swimsuits to dry. Oh, and there were always shoes everywhere.

They distribute tickets for the ice show on the first couple of days on board. I think there were 4 shows on the 6-night cruise. The times for ticket distribution are in the Compass. There are no tickets needed for any of the other shows. We went to every evening show and the theater wasn't full for any of them. I'd say the Love and Marriage show was the best attended.

They have paper sign ups in the gym. Just head over there on the first day and sign up for the dates you want. The classes were $25 each when we went a couple of years ago.

Great info! Thanks for taking the time to share. I do have some more questions :). I have 3 yo twins, so your info is really interesting to me!

- Do they take the kids from the Adventure Ocean area to do other things - like H20 Zone or mini-golf or whatever? Or are they always in the same area?

- Do they have those tiny potties for kids at AO or all they all full-sized? Just wondering what I need to work on with my kids in that area ;).

I'm also glad to hear he napped! That would be great if mine also do the same. I love a good nap :p.
