  1. Yes, that statement is a bit harsh. It is also rude. Seems like people on CC are some of the nicest most helpful people but then there are the hateful posters that call people names and make judgemental statements if your opinion doesn't equal theirs. How unkind to call my husband the "living dead." He has been a police officer for 25 years, spending many of those doing shift work, which is why he needs total darkness. Coming home at 7am with the sun shining and normal household noises made it hard for him to sleep so the habit of total darkness and white noise came from that. Maybe we should all think about the feelings of others before we make comments.

Many remind me of the "schoolyard' bullies". Sad really that adults behave this way. Hoping that they don't teach their children this same behaviour.

  2. Hi all, I'm new to cruising so not sure what I'm in for on my upcoming cruise. Although I shudder reading some of the comments, for now..I'm truly excited about my closet on NOS. I've worked hard to be able to take this vaca and had a tight budget. I figure if I can live in St. Lucia for 2 years without electricity, running water or a modern toilet, my closet will be like heaven for 7 days:D If I'm an unlucky soul and get seasick, the last thing I want to hear or smell is the sea :(

  3. There is a username starting with P that fits that criteria.

My user name starts with a "P" and it sure wasn't me. I rec'd one of Marie's dresses and it fits beautifully. I've thanked Marie via email and sent her postage reimbursement this week... just sayin in case ya'll have me on the witch hunt list....lol. BTW, am I a lurker since I am new and just joined CC? I feel badly now for getting a dress since I was new on board.:o

  4. How pathetic for someone to do that to such a generous lady. Marie is kind enough to offer these beautiful gowns to others and I honestly cannot imagine someone being so ungrateful. I am so sorry that someone actually had the nerve to say something like that to you Marie. Karma will visit the other lady one day soon....what goes around comes back around twice as hard.

  5. The European sizes are normally on shoes in UK too, so back home, I would be a size 6/39 in UK but I can wear size 8 or 9 in US depending on style.

Drats, I need to get out more..just realized from your post that US shoes sizes aren't different than Canadian shoe sizes. :o I wear size 8 ..all this time I thought Marie's beautiful shoes were too big for me :(

  6. Happy Monday ladies. Hope everyone is doing well. I had a fantastic weekend. I went to Baltimore for the Preakness race. It was the last minute decision. Gary Steven is a friend of mine. He just end his retiredment. I went to cheers for him. He won! I won $32,000 on a $208.00 bet. I was a great day for both of us.

    Have a wonderful day.

Have a few things to do today. Will try to post gowns later.

Congrats on your win Marie. Good things will ALWAYS come back to YOU.:)

  7. Are you a 12 through the waist and hips also? I've met Marie and although she may be busty, she is tiny in the other areas.

I have a gown from Marie, similar style to the blue one, and I am by no means busty but it fits. My lack of bust is made up for by maybe being larger across the back or a larger rib cage than Marie. I am mostly an 8, sometimes 10.

My pants are size ten so am smaller on the bottom. My issues are always in my tops having to be a bit larger. Love the blue and the yellow (?/first pic). I tend to shy away from the form fitting dresses as I usually get comments about seeing my boobs coming around a corner first.:( I used to limbo dance at the resorts in St. Lucia for 2 years with my husband so I am still in pretty good shape otherwise.

  8. They may if they are not already spoken for. I typically wear a M or size 12 as long as the fabric has a little give on the top they would fit. A Large makes me look like I'm wearing my gran's dress. Everything I tried last week here in Toronto is a heavier material or looks like something a 17 yr old would wear..a little too youthful...lol and I'm not wearing that on a cruise in the Med. I'm single but don't need that kind of attention.

  9. What a wonderful idea. I'm going on my first cruise with my gal pal in July. Doing an E. Med on Nos. At any rate, I'm a 57 yr old busty size 12 and about 5'3". If anyone has something that may fit me for the 2 formal nights I would REALLY appreciate a gently used item. In Toronto and definitely don't mind paying shipping. Thanks for any help.
