  1. Do they offer a package that would include drinks? We are looking for a Beach day where we could just sit around and drink. We were planning on going to Mr. Sanchos in Coz to do this, but it seems like a lot of people are saying Grand Cayman is better for a beach day and we will find better things to do in Cozumel.

  2. We are booking Mr Sanchos for our Carnival cruise coming up on 2/15. We are going to be on the AI side, but I'm on the fence about weather or not to book the water toys for my DD8.

Can I decide once we get there about the water toys and just book them that day for her and my DH or do I need to book now with the AI confirmation? Thoughts?

    THANKS!!

Please let me know how the water is! I'm considering this if we are able to book the April 12th sailing on the Conquest! I read the average air temp is between 75 and 85 around that time period so I'm a little worried that it may be too cold yet.

  3. We had a mini spa suite on the Breakaway last summer and spent most of our sea days in the spa. Unlike the main pool area, you actually have a chance at getting a lounger, and the stone ones are even heated. It was so quiet and peaceful. The pool was warm and never crowded. It was our lovely little oasis away from the 3,000 other passengers. I would go 3 times a day for a swim. So worth it.

  4. I love when I find the answer to my questions in posts from several years ago! :) Such a wealth of information on this site! I'm desperately needing to book another cruise, and we just moved to Florida so I have so many options! But it's looking like Carnival might have the best deals, with itineraries that tickle my fancy! Might be taking my first Carnival Cruise this year!

  5. I suggest June. I was there this past June 8 and the water was comfortable after being in it a minute. Someone suggested May.......no way, the water is too cool in May. Plus that is when jellyfish are plentiful. October is good too but there is still a chance of a hurricane. My favorite month is September despite there being more chances of a hurricane.

I was there the first week of June and even then our large group found it too cold to swim. The pool was perfect on the ship but water was still too cold. I recommend later, like August when the air is starting to cool down, but the ocean temps haven't yet.

4 of us just returned on June 8 from Bermuda with a hacking cough.

I returned the same day from Bermuda but on the Breakaway. Terrible cough, doc thinks its Bronchitis. I'm on meds but they haven't been doing much.

The ship is huge and it was completely booked but it never felt crowded (well, certain times in the buffet but we avoided that area) and I was shocked at how easy it was to navigate. I was able to easily find my way around from day one.

    .

I have to disagree with you, the ship pretty much always felt crowded. Every time I tried to get on an elevator, every time I was in a dining room, every time I wanted a pool chair, I realized there were over 4,000 other people that I was in competition with to use the amenities of the ship.

  8. To answer my own question, I found 3 different places that do hair braiding. The cheapest was at a few tables at the street fair in Hamilton on Wednesday nights, I paid 20 bucks for half a head. They also had it at a table right outside Horseshoe bay. The last place I saw it was in a shop inside Clocktower Mall.

  9. We just got off and were in 14760, our friends were in 14762. You heard the noise but it was very quiet, not disturbing in any way. If you close the balcony door you will hear nothing. Enjoy the spa! We went every day sometimes twice!

  10. Ok, here is my idea. How about a "Sharing Kiosk". This is a place to go and ask if anyone has a (fill in the blank), sewing kit, roll of duct tape, packing tape, hole punch, first aid kit, pepto bismol, immodium, Dramamine....ok, you get the idea. My thought is that look at all the weight it would save if we ALL didn't bring EVERYTHING because we knew we could borrow something on board. Just a thought....

This would cause the ship to loose money, since they sell most of these items at their store for hugely inflated prices. Wouldn't happen.

  11. Hi, We chartered with Mako 4 charters in Bermuda about four years ago.Not sure if they are still there but this was one of our best fishing days.My family and I are on the Breakaway on June 9th, and my grandson and I are going on the Jolly Roger, 4 hour reef fishing trip. Not sure how this will be as there are only two reviews on this, but it is convenient because it leaves from Heritage Wharf, where we are docked.

Hello, My boyfriend and are are considering things we would like to do on our Breakaway cruise next summer, How was your tour on the Jolly Roger? We are definitely looking at this excursion as something we both really want to do!

  12. My boyfriend and I, both currently active duty but will be veterans by the time of our cruise, just booked a NCL cruise about 2 weeks ago. We were given a 50 dollar onboard credit, a bottle of wine, and a meal at one of the specialty restaurants... So nothing too special, but more than our non-veteran friends were given when booking the same cruise. I also know that through USAA they have discounted cruises. But if i recall correctly, the discounts were nothing fabulous.

  13. I just went to Cancun last year which is in the same state as Cozumel and I was allowed with no problems. This was for NIOC Maryland (Navy Command on Fort Meade), but I really don't think it would be a problem for many other commands either. They are both in the state of Quintana Roo.
