Thanks for the extensive review! Can't wait to hear what you have to say about Dominica. I'm going there in a couple of weeks and am concerned about the hurricane damage.

Cruising mid-Nov and one of the stops is Dominica. Having lived in FL 20 yrs, I know firsthand how long it takes to get repairs and sanitation even with the best conditions. With the devastation in Dominica, The concern over safety and sanitation is of pinnacle concern to tourists and the people of Dominica.

Regarding the above article, it was written by the div. of tourism, stating the places where the tourists go were unaffected. Given the amount if devastation, I doubt this is the case.

I appreciate those cruisers who want to help the effort but the chance of bringing an illness on-board is real, so not feasible.

As a wheelchair user who has to save for this $$$ cruise, I urge the cruise ships to re-route.

Thanks for the great information. The gals at TripInsuranceStore narrowed down our choices with 3 co's in 1 day to make our choice. Went with Travel guard Gold with the $10 add-on that covers cancel for work reasons, extra 500k in med expenses & hospital of our choice. Also covers spouse/companion coverage.

Wife is a FT Wheelchair user with MS. Despite being stable we were sure an ins co would find a way to deny any claim but we purchased 3 days after booking & they assured me it would be fine so long as she is well enough to travel the day of booking- which she is,

Btw- Price was the same as going thru co directly but really helped narrow our choice to fit "our" needs.

Is Royal Princess accessible and quiet?

I'm booked on RC Oasis (3rd time) and payment due today 6/23 but not happy (see below)

SO.. Booked Royal Princess 11/20 Room C301 Deck 10 near the elevator .

1) Can you hear other in next rooms?

2) Pretty easy to get around?

Most concerned about elevator and cabin noise

FYI - RC ruined Oasis & Allure for me changing Viking Crown Lounge "only area that is offers fully accessible area of the ship" to suite only guests.

I really needed this and their Accessibility Dept didn't care.

Remember... I see everything Butt (stroller) :rolleyes:Level.
