Cinesage, that WAS an amazing review! For a minute I thought I WAS there! But since there was no mention of our "Medicain", we must of been on the same cruise the week prior.
There was also talk of Norovirus on our cruise, but for us at least, there was negligible impact.

I don't know how often responses come, so I will offer mine!
"is there a venue near the pools offering burgers, pizza, etc?"
"Do they do any midnight buffets or theme buffets during lunch?"
"Afternoon tea? "
"Also are the hot tubs actually hot? It seems every hot tub on every ship has lukewarm water. "
"Are movies offered poolside everyday? TIA!"- I DID see a poolside movie, but I'm not sure how often they happened. My adult daughter stayed.
i've only done four cruises, all Meditteranean, and I'll be honest. I probably can't help, because I've never done most of those things.
We chose Jewel because of the itinerary, and I was very satisfied. The travel between was fine.

Im on the jewel now. The food is great and everything is peachy. Especially the Indian food!
As for dress code it seems they have started enforcing it now. Several men were turned back yesterday for wearing shorts - including quite dress shorts, and I think people dressed up very nicely for the first formal. My wife felt underdressed in her nice dress
Trying to imagine "quite dress shorts". Any pictures of what that might mean?

We also enjoyed a private tour with Joe Banana, who took us to Pompei, and down the coast. I seem to remember stopping in one or two towns; one was Sorrento where we ate lunch. We also stopped at an olive oil place. I was worried about getting carsick, and we started down the coast in LA, but the driver eventually talked me in to trying a bit of the coast, and it was fine.

So did you add the 5th person already? Remember, they can run out of muster station slots.
That's going to be up to the fifth passenger ( my sister). I've passed on the information, although perhaps not the urgency.

Not bad at all! Of course, if I recall correctly, the first person costs more than 10 times that!
-
An update; it's going to cost $580.09. I think this is the same as we paid for the fourth person.

Will do!
Last time we booked a suite with only four people it seemed we needed special permission because we didn't have five. They let us go with four without much "ado". This time they let me book with four, no questions asked.

So...... don't hold out for the next BOGO promotion? :halo: According to "mycruises", we sail in about 250 days. We have a TA, and I will get on it ASAP.

First thing to be worried about is whether or not the room accommodates 5 passengers. Next will be whether or not there is still capacity.
Thank you! It is a two bedroom and the suite is said to hold eight, so that shouldn't be a problem, but I understand the rescue boat situation might be. Also, I'm having trouble estimating cost. Would it be about one fifth of the current cost of the suite plus taxes and fees? Does the fifth person in a suite pay any less than the first two or three or four or.....

I would like to add a fifth person to the RC Owners suite Eastern Med next September. Anything I need to look out for? I've read some threads about conflicting deals, but I don't understand. The current deal is a second person sails half off, or something similar.
Thanks in advance.

Oh no! More to think about ! What ship were you on? What hours in port? I had settled on the trains. So many choices, so little time. Would the ferries be a problem for those prone to motion sickness? Like me.....:o? Probably depends on the weather. .

Please let us know how it turns out! I'm right behind you. :)
