  1. Ok, so that's all I have for tonight. I hope you enjoyed my wild and crazy adventures on the first day of sailing. I haven't gotten into too much detail as I don't want this review to be 20,000 pages long. And also. If you want to see the fun times and the menus, I can scan the fun times and I'll post the relatively-medium quality menu photos if you want them. Now off to write Day 2! Our first day at sea!

  2. So once dinner was done at around 10:00 (We have had late dining for all our cruises and love it) then we made the 6 floor trek all the way to our room on the 9th floor. Once we were there we were greeted by our new towel animal friend, we got into our pajamas and fell right asleep. After all, I was running on 4 hours of sleep, Starbucks, and the adrenaline, so It was fitting to sleep at 10:15.

For the appetizer I ordered the Calamari, which is one of my favorite dishes to begin with, but this was to die for! I used their dipping sauce which was a type of red sauce, possibly a marinara and it came with another type of sauce that resembled a mixture of ranch and queso, but it was amazing and I give it 10/10.

For the Entrée, I ordered the roast chicken, not much to write home about, it was good. 8/10.

In between the second and last course, the dinner entertainment came around which was a young (Well, maybe early 20s) lady playing the accordion to some popular themes such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Billie Jean by The King of Pop. I personally like this type of dinner entertainment more than the loud show styles, but I do like whenever the crew gets up and dances on the tables, it really gets me into that cruise mood.

But to finish off, I had the Nutella Tiramisu, which is a mixture of my two favorite things ever. So without a doubt it was 10/10. It was one of my favorite desserts that I had on the cruise!

  4. So once we were out in the ocean blue, I went to take a shower and get ready for dinner when I opened up my closet and realized I left my dress shirts at home!

    IMG_8207_zpscmtr1bfw.jpg

This wasn’t a major problem, as I was intending on wearing just more casual clothes as opposed to getting dressed up all formally, so I did have like a nice black and white t shirt that was no problem on formal nights, if you wanted to know.

    IMG_8210_zpscmwjoqto.jpg

On the first night I would recommend going like 5 minutes after your scheduled time, because, as you can see, there are a LOT of people there before you get into the dining room.

We were sat down promptly in the back of the restaurant with a table for 3-extra people (6-top) and unfortunately the people who sat with us didn’t show up until the second night. More on that later. I don’t have pictures of the menus, as the lighting was not the best, but I do have some pictures of the food which I will post any time that I have them.

  5. We went up to the top decks where I had to get this stereotypical pic of the waterworks, which I would not go on until our first port day… oops.

    IMG_8153_zpsy95kioex.jpg

Then we went to our room for muster drill prep where we got a lovely surprise of this cake which was good, but with all the food I’d been eating. I didn’t eat that much of it. :/ Our muster station was in the Blush Dining Room which would be our regular dining room. It looked quite stunning and I was surprised at how large it actually was. On my previous cruises it didn’t seem this large, but that could have been a change made on any ship that wasn’t Fantasy Class… But I did take a few pictures on our way there. And note to self guys, they DO check your key card when you get there, so be sure to bring it!

Then the fun began, we went up to our room and got onto our balcony to get ready for SAILAWAY OUT OF PORT MIAMI!

  6. So we went to our room to drop our stuff off but we decided to stop for some photos before, which I only have one of…

    IMG_8145_zpspplinui6.jpg

But OUR ROOM! Let me tell you, I was not expecting this for our Aft-Extended balcony, I do have some photos of the room so you can see just how marvelous it was. It was spacious and it really was a treat to have that extra space on the balcony.

This is our balcony, as you can see, we are covered, and its HUGE! But the one next to us was bigger. :/

As you can see my parents got the birthday package for our room, those decorations never came down. Lol :P

  7. IMG_8140_zps2wd2g0jx.jpg

We checked our bags and got in this line, which I’m assuming is about normal for Miami, but who knows because we were inside 15 minutes later. This is where the benefits of pre-checking in really came in handy. We were taken over to the side in a MUCH shorter line than what it would be if we hadn’t. We were ready to go through the detectors and within 30-45 minutes of us getting to the port, we were in the pre-boarding phase which if you have never cruised out of Miami goes by zones but this is where the last benefit of pre boarding comes in, where you get put in line right after FTTF and before we knew it we were on the gangway!

    IMG_8142_zpsyzenlboo.jpg

You can see just how packed the terminal was when we got there, take that! We don’t have to wait in line AND we aren’t priority!

So the first thing we did when we got onboard the majestic BREEZE was go up to Lido and get some food before the lines got too long and then we went to go explore the ship, or I took these pics on the way to the lido…

  8. Baggage seemed to go by superfast, but that could be because we had the furthest baggage claim area from the gate, but I actually enjoyed that better, less standing around to do is better for me. But once we got our bag, we made a few switches of toiletries to put in our cruise carry-ons and we went up to dine at the famous Nathan’s Hot Dogs. Now I’m not sure if it’s because we had them in the Miami Airport, but I just wasn’t thrilled with them, we have a great hot dog place by where I live and I would take those over Nathans 10000x over. But, hey, I wasn’t really that hungry.

Now, if you take anything from this review take this. IF YOU HAVE A FLIGHT OR ARE CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT GET THE AIRPORT CHECKIN!!!! You don’t need port transfers either. This was a life saver when we were checking in. We got checked in and got our sail and sign cards all within 20 minutes and we were ready to get in a cab and get on our way to the boat!

    IMG_8135_zpsg9lbeqvm.jpg

    IMG_8136_zpsyua4no7l.jpg

It took us less than 5 minutes to get a cab at MIA and our driver was very polite and told us a bit about the area. Then we saw the boat’s whale tail and I was so excited I almost screamed…

  9. You sound like a future aviator! I started learning to fly when I was 15, and 42 years later, I love ships and planes, though planes come first.

    Looking forward to your review.

In the meantime, tell me what those things are drooping down from the front of the wing on the plane you flew on? Also, what was that thing sticking up from the tip of the wing, and what do both of these devices do?

    Aviation lesson 1, perhaps? :D

Welcome! I'm not the best flight expert but I do believe that the little flaps help maintain speed and the little doo-hickie things sticking up help with fuel efficiency, but I could be wrong as I am no flight expert.

  10. Looks like this is going to be a fun review! Happy belated birthday, by the way. :)

    Why Thank You!

I want to thank you for what I expect will be a very complete review from a young cruiser.

I noted your "rules" and as we CC members are "old" compared to you, we often do what you mentioned without thinking. If we forget again PLEaSE forgive us.

I'm not speaking for other CC members, just for my self but....

It would be highly appreciated if you would compile our review and post everything at once, or at least the same day as it is inconvenient sometimes to keep checking back, over and over. I know you understand. Sometimes these reviews go on for weeks.

    and thank you.

With the rules it's kinda just a bit of a guideline, just to bring light on what things kinda make it flow a bit weird, but I do understand if you do happen to do it on accident. And as for the updates, I'll try to get an entire day's worth written up at once and then post that all at the same time, to hopefully decrease the amount of checking back time :)

Finally landing at Miami-Dade International Airport. But I was on the side of the plane where you cannot see the ships in port :(

    IMG_8131_zpsssknl2ee.jpg

While getting to our gate, I happened to see this little fella right here, glad to know Joe Biden is here in Miami with us! Maybe he was there for the Marathon? Or Maybe the Madonna Concert :P

    IMG_8132_zpsepq0tez8.jpg

    IMG_8133_zpsxd9loufm.jpg

I love all types of planes, like the other AA flight reminds me of the Brady Bunch Goes to Hawaii Movie!

  12. IMG_8115_zpsmainxl11.jpg

I’m so glad I don’t have to be out there! Lol

So at 0640, 40 mins after we were supposed to be on our marry way, they come up on the loudspeaker and make an announcement that due to a technical issue, we would have to deplane, but luckily there were quite a few planes that American had on the tarmac already so we could just do a quick switch and be on our way again. No upset here, they handled this situation very well and orderly.

So at 0720 we were boarding again and were taxiing our way to the runway! Hooray! Next stop- MIA!

    Here we ggggooOOOOOO!!!

    IMG_8122_zpsbheifsw3.jpg

    IMG_8123_zpslgpjyz80.jpg

I love looking out on planes and seeing all the clouds and the loveliness of the sky.

    IMG_8125_zps90vh8gff.jpg

These are getting repetitive but we are almost in FLORIDA!!!

  13. IMG_8098_zpswitlruep.jpg

To be quite honest this is all I packed clothes wise because I refused to have anything of mine put into our checked bag, as I 100% don’t trust the airline baggage system. With this way, if anything gets lost, it’s my fault. (Picture captions will be on the bottom)

So since it was my birthday, I decided to stay up until midnight to get all those “I was first to wish you happy birthday” texts and wound up falling asleep at 0015. BAD IDEA WHEN YOU ARE FLYING AT 0600!!! I had to get up at roughly 0300 in order to make it to the airport in time to catch our flight. So I was functioning on 3 hours of sleep this whole time but I did manage to get an hour on the plane, I’m thanking the Day 1 adrenaline for this. But we got to the airport at 0420 and was checked in and at the gate by 0450. Here’s some pictures I took on the way to the gate.

    IMG_8107_zpssb39lmqa.jpg

They have this really cool statue at PIT that looks like a transformer made up of the city’s bridges

    IMG_8110_zpsyc0odkke.jpg

I can also thank this for me being able to make it through the day (and also not really sleeping on the plane).

So we were at the gate for a little bit, and I sat there on my phone drinking my grande caffe mocha (I’m a teenager what can you expect?) and at 0545 we were boarding!

    IMG_8111_zpsrd60xnl7.jpg

So ready to start my vacation and get out of these subzero temps and get into some warm weather!

    IMG_8112_zpsyu0luvep.jpg

    IMG_8113_zpsaqzfuzme.jpg

I was sat close to the wing of the plane in seat 9F, luckily with a window seat.

  14. About Me:

I am just your average teenage cruiser (if there is one lol) who has been immersed into this culturally diverse vacation since I was 11 (If you look at when that cruise was you can find out how old I actually am) but that’s neither here nor there. I am a food ADDICT and I love trying all different types of food, but once I get to like something, I’m bound to order it multiple times until I’m pressured into trying something different. I also am quite active, being a gymnast for 8 years has really helped with this and Track and Field was actually one of the main reasons why the previous review had to come to a halt. This cruise was taken with the company of my Mother and Father, who both like to cruise as well. But looking back at it, I don’t think I have many photos with them, but I DO have lots of food porn. Enough about me, let’s get to why you’re REALLY here, THE CRUISE!

As stated above this was the January 24th sailing onboard the Carnival Breeze, a ship I’ve dreamt about going on since my early days of cruising. And this was my first time to the Caribbean ever! So I was super pumped about that, and to add to the excitement MY BIRTHDAY WAS THE SAILAWAY DATE FOR THE CRUISE!! AAAHHH! I was beyond excited to be cruising to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel on my birth(week?). But this was my dream vacation and it all went smoothly for the most part. Now, let’s get on with the pictures and the fun parts! It’s been too long without a picture (I forgot I put the one at the start of this post but whatever).
