We are cruising on the Spirit this Saturday and I'm getting more and more excited for this trip. Thank you for posting the review! Keep 'em coming.

Let us know anything cool you do on the 3 non-US stops. We've been to Key West a long time ago but we've never been to the 3 other stops. Hope you have a great time and post plenty of pictures! Cheers!

I really don't get why people book a cruise ship that holds 4000 people and is one of the largest at sea, only to complain about its size.

I found this post a bit uncalled for. I'm sure the OP felt bad enough about her choice to be remind by a stranger that they made a poor choice. Let's be nice to each other.

I usually enjoy the barbecue, but then again I usually only have the grilled chicken, but I agree with you on the Indian food- hate it! Anything with coriander, cumin or tumeric I can't stomach. Wish they would swap it for Mexican food. I love Mexican.

I'm on the ship and ready to relax. Sailed her for our 1st anniversary many years ago. I'll give y'all a run down shortly. Let me know what you'd like to see?

First update: Traveling with wife and 11yo daughter. Here for a friend getting married in Nassau port. We live just south of Jacksonville near St Augustine. It was a quick 25 minute trip up 295EB to the Hecksher exit. Less than a mile away was the cruise terminal. Arrived at 11:15 and was parked and on this ship by 12. Very easy and quick run through the security and key pick up.

More to come. I'm filling my piehole with pasta and potatoes.

If you can get up early and head down to Hendricks (SR 13) I recommend The Metro Diner for breakfast. It was featured on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. Great breakfast. If you want to drive about 35-40 minutes then Culhanes Irish pub is recommended on Atlantic Blvd out near A1A. I'm not as familiar with the North side of town near the airport so I'm not much help there. Best of luck.

I've known about this move since it was announced and it still disappoints me. Jaxport is 10 min from my house, so Fascination has been our quick easy get away. I'm not a fantasy class fan, but the Fascination has grown on us. It's not likely we will cruise on Elation. I would rather drive 2 hrs to Port Canaveral and have the option of better ships...and itineraries.

Completely agree with you here. I'm in saint johns county and this is a nice drive to the port. Put a crappy ship in and I'll have to make the jaunt down to Canaveral.

Of course! I'm with my DD 20 and she has the $18 plan which covers 5 days and let's her SnapChat, instagram and tweet. I took the value plan for $40 for the week and can access all social media and my email and blogs. I'm shocked how well it works. You put your device on airplane and connect to the wifi. That's it. I have full service all over the ship, including the stateroom.

 

Is this per device or for all devices in the cabin? $60 for the cruise seems like a good deal if it's for all? Thanks and keep the updates coming. We are leaving on the next cruise after you on 6/11.

More more more.... I am sailing this Saturday on the Dream and just love reading everything I can about it!!!!!

Too many clothes because I thought I had to have a cute outfit per day plus my dress for each night for dinner. Ya this time I'm bringing half of what I did on first cruise haha

Please do not apply this to underwear gents. I usually pack 1.5 times needed just to be safe (rounding up). So for 7 day cruise I pack 11 underwear. Just my 2 cents.

Finally made it to the end. The wife and daughter did this itinerary Spring Break 2012 this will be my 4th CC and I have done RCCL one other time. We are going Eastern CB on 6/29 and will be in Nassau, St Thomas and St Maartens. I enjoyed the review and can't wait to try this beauty out. If I see Svetlana I'll give her a piece of my mind lol. I'll have a couple extra pieces of cheesecake just for you and I will hit the pasta bar in your honor :)
