  1. But seriously, almost all workout clothes are light weight and take up hardly any space. I drive to the port so weight is not an issue, but it just seems so much easier to bring clean clothes. I have no desire to hand wash anything, and hanging up stuff that is damp? I already have bathing suits hanging. To each their own.

Seriously indeed, this would have meant for me to bring five tops, five pairs of shorts/skorts for my seven day cruise last week. It is not just about the weight or the space it takes to bring additional stuff. My workout clothes are completely drenched, the idea of having damp/wet soaked in sweat clothes sitting there is less appealing than quickly rinsing/washing them. At home, I can tolerate this for a day or two then it is laundry time, but seven days is too long for me. If only RCI has onboard self service laundry... But you would probably say that is wasting vacation time to do laundry, lol.

  2. Just wondering how many sets of gym clothes you bring? We will be on a 7 day cruise and will probably work out/run 5 times. The last time we were at a hotel, I tried washing my gym clothes in the sink and hanging them up, but it seemed like it took a LONG time for them to dry.

Any tips on which tops and sports bras dry out the quickest?

    Thank you.

I got this tip on Cruise Critic and put it to use last week on my cruise. I rinse/wash my workout clothes, after I have wrung out as much water as I can, I roll the piece of clothing up using a dry towel. I do the rolling a few times and then hang up the clothes in the closet and they are dry within a few hours, and definitely by the next day that I need to work out. I could have gotten away with one set of workout clothes!

  3. That's changed. It used to be that restaurants like Portofino and Chops only allowed kids early in the serving period. We dine late and would not want to have kids whose parents IGNORE their out of control behavior ruining our meal. Have read some posts about that happening. I like kids and am a grandmother but the "ignore bad behavior/no discipline" style of parenting has become more prevalent.

How did the poorly behaved kids ruin your meal? Wouldn't a couple of loud and ill-mannered adults 21 years and older be just as unpleasant? Age isn't the issue, is it?

However, if the product is advertised and sold as an adult only (21+) experience, then the consumer should expect to receive the said product. Lack of enforcement is indeed unfortunate.

  4. Cindy, thank you so much for this terrific and thorough review. Your photography skill is impressive and I did catch a glimpse of your camera on a photo, kudos!! :)

Based on your review, my family of four with two young ones will be renting a car in Skagway and taking the route you have detailed in your review. You really made it sound reasonable and easy to do. While I would have loved to do the rail excursion, it will be nice to not book something for four people in one port and do something on our own. I really thank you for explaining it well in your review.

I don't think you mentioned much about the fitness center on Radiance. Do you have any more information? Can we access the studio floor area when there are no classes? How much is a class? Did you see people running on track of the cruise ship? Is the temperature pretty low during morning. I might have to bring cold weather running gears... Do you know if the line for the rock climbing is long? I figured given the amount of food served on the ship, I'm gonna need to work out two hours a day to combat it, lol.

Thank you again for this wonderful review, I know I will read it a few more times before our cruise.
