  1. Great thread Luvcrusn! November 27 will be here before we know it! I love all of the pre planning anticipation and making new friends on the Roll calls. Next would be the excitement of embarkation. It is always so exiting to see the ship sitting at the pier! Next would be the sea days which are my favorites days on a cruise. Heck there is nothing I dislike about cruising!

    Cheers,

    JoAnne

  2. Jojo, I think we'll be able to muddle thru Blu and survive!:D;p

Not to worry. And I bet we will love every moment there too! Anytime someone else is doing the cooking is a good meal for me! As I mentioned on our roll call I am a personal chef for two physicians. I do get very tired of selecting a menu and preparing it.

    37 days but who's counting!!!!!!!

    Cheers,

    Jojo

  3. I can't believe I just wasted 30 minutes reading this entire thread! Here is what I learned.

    1. I will never ever order sweet breads!

    2. Someone allowed rain to dampen his entire vacation.

    3. Don got upset. Never seen this before.

    4. Worried now about our AQ sailing aboard Reflection Nov. 27.

Wishing now I never clicked on and read this thread,

    Cheers,

  4. We are planning to book an alcove for the week for our upcoming cruise on the reflection. It seems pricing has gone up a bit but now more things are included like champagne or wine, beer, water, etc. I was just on the phone with celebrity and she also said that lunch at the porch was included for two guests. Can anyone confirm Trey received this perk because the website doesn't include that as a perk.

Also have people generally liked having an alcove? We are traveling with our 9 mth old son and we want a home base so we don't have worry about getting a spot on deck everyday.

    Thanks!

I love the alcove and think this would be great for your family. Your baby will love crawling on the grass!

  5. I spent 7 out of 11 nights in the Summits hospital. We had purchased Celebrity's Cruise Care insurance. We did have to charge the hospital bill to our credit card but were totally reimbursed minus one inhaler within two weeks of getting home. Saddest part was that cruise was the only time the

Upgrade fairy ever picked us! We had a suite with our own butler. That was back when the butlers really spent time with you. Anyway he would bring me my meals and at night wore a tux to do it. The hospital staff was wonderful too.

I will be sailing on the Nov. 27 trip aboard the Reflection. 92 days away but who's counting.

  6. Can I ask? Is the ship safer with him? Do you arrive earlier? Later? Is it more smoother? Is the atmosphere better?

Captain Leo is fun, friendly and enjoys talking to passengers. Many Captains are rather elusive and very unfriendly. We were looking forward to sailing with a Captain that was approachable. Sorry if my remarks offended you in anyway sir.

  7. Hi! We have never done late seating but are seriously considering it since I have heard some horror stories about Celebrity Select dining and prefer to eat alone with my husband nightly and have the same wait staff each night. My question is, what time would the show begin for us? Would it be before or after our meal? Thanks for the help!

Shows for late dining are around 7 pm. Not sure of the exact time but they are before dinner.

    Cheers,

    JoAnne

  8. Hoping Captain Leo will be Master of the Ship on the March 4th sailing. Any idea if he still will be on the Equinox when we sail? We have heard so many wonderful things about him on Cruise Critic.

Also which nights are the formal nights? Not sure if you were on the ten or the 11 night cruise. Guess it probably would or could make a difference. Our sailing is the ten night.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions.

    Sincerely,

    JoAnne

  9. Gosh, I sure wish and hope he will be on the Solstice for the October 17, 2010 sailing. He sounds awesome and it would be so neat to have him as our Captain too. We will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary right along with Celebrity's 20th Anniversary. We spent our honeymoon aboard RCCL's Song of America. I bet there are a few of you out there that sailed her too. My first cruise on RCCL was aboard the Nordic Prince a few years earlier. Anyone remember that ship?
