  1. Hi all. I was on the Vista last September. This was my 3rd chef table experience & by far the best! I would highly recommend attending even with the increase in price. I believe the price was increased to include a tip. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong about that.

The chef did tell us that on that particular sailing (8 days) they did a chef table every night including the first.

  2. I know I'm extremely late to this post but I've attended a Chefs Table on the Breeze. I do not eat anything red or pork & they were very accommodating. The chef even come to me personally to ask whether I would like a chicken or vegetarian dish when the beef course was served. The appetizers with meat were substituted as well. I really enjoyed it & I'm looking forward to my next one on the sunshine in August.

  3. My wife and I will be in San Juan on Sunday Aug 28 from 3PM to 11 PM we are planning on touring 1 of the forts and then having dinner , we are looking for a restaurant to go to and have Mofango for dinner within walking distance from either the cruise port or the forts that has authentic PR food that will not break the bank , does anyone have any specific recommendations ?

Are you on the journeys sunshine cruise? If so I am well! We are looking for somewhere to have dinner as well

  4. Long Islands and Tokyo Teas. A Tokyo Tea is something I've only ever gotten on Carnival. They introduced me to it and everyone else everywhere I go seems confused be it.

It has a lot of alcohols like the Long Island The big difference is I think Midori. Turns the whole drink green. Anytime I get it on the ship, people are always asking what it is. Pretty tasty and very strong. Slightly stronger than a Long Island.

Tokyo Tea! I'm from NY & they were popular in the West Village a few years ago, it's a Long Island with sprite instead of coke & Midori floated on top

  5. My daughter wears daily disposables and brings 14 pairs but generally only needs her normal 7, except when she tears one. Those suckers are thin!

Yes they are extremely thin! I just switched to daily disposables & it's taking a long time for my eyes to adjust to the difference. I'm cruising in August & will be traveling for a total of 10 days. I'm planning on doubling the amount of contacts I bring just in case. Always traveling with my glasses & thinking about purchasing a pair of prescription sunglasses. As you can probably tell I tend to overpack everything.

  6. I will be in San Juan with this exact same port time on August. I'm looking for things to do as well. I recently vacationed here in July & would rarely not go back to the Bacardi factory.

  7. I myself do not eat red meat but I really enjoyed the steakhouse on the Valor. I'm already booked for my August trip on the Breeze. The steakhouse offers poultry & seafood opinions. I think the menu is appealing to mostly everyone.

  8. I'm cruising in August & I booked my reservation in September. I had to adjust the reservation in October; Fahrenheit 555 got right back to me. I don't think that would be the case if I booked closer to the cruise.

  9. I think Carnival switched to Monster, I kept asking for it on my last cruise & they kept saying they only had monster. I'll be bring my own 6 pack on my next cruise just in case. Red bull is my coffee!

  10. I went to San Juan in July & did the Bacardi Tour independently. We took the ferry from old San Juan which was around $1 each round trip then a cab to the factory which was $4 each round trip. The tour itself is free & you get two free drinks.

  11. Ditto, poorly made.

However, all the other desserts are wonderful.

Do your calorie restriction before and after your cruise. While there it's ok to indulge, you paid for it. It's vacation!

I thought I was the only one who didn't care for this stuff. It was more like warm melting soup yuck!

  12. I know, that's why I thought it was weird they only had main courses

It looked staged to me, like they didn't really eat there

It looked like a segment for a talk show or something

We've been to the Steakhouse and they do have salads, side dishes and desserts, including steaks. Check out the steakhouse menu on Carnival 's website.
