I was about to call to ask... we upgraded to Premium.

WHY this package is cheaper is odd.

Those "perks" are never free... we pay for them and then the upgrade...

    Overview

Save time and money when you purchase our new Premium Plus beverage package, available for a limited time only. Enjoy all the benefits of the Premium beverage package, which includes all the top-shelf spirits (89 options), vintage wine (161 options), liqueurs & cognacs (24 options), beer (44 options) and champagne, plus the following:

    • Two bottles of wine
    • $50 in casino free play
    • Wine tasting experience
    • If more than one adult in the room purchases the Premium Plus beverage package, the stateroom mini-bar will be included and replenished once a day for your entire vacation."

I don’t find the fact that it’s cheaper as odd. They are incentivizing people without the classic package perk to buy by offering more things at, more or less, the same price. They created the different package so you can’t upgrade to it.

  2. There seems to be the info on the site now. It is now a couple of euros under the price of Premium (around 3-4 USD, I guess)

It says it's NOT available on board and includes:

  3. Since the OP ate in Blu the first evening, I suspect they were either in AQ or a Suite, ergo offered to eat lunch in Blu on embarkation. I think that's what the OP meant, but I could be wrong.

22% VAT -- Wouldn't that be the case if embarkation was in Barcelona and the ship was in Spain territorial waters? I can't believe one would have to pay that for the entire cruise??? I know embarkation in NJ & FL, while in port, you pay the State sales tax for your drink purchases.

Since the cruise omly does EU ports is considered fiscally as if not leaving the EU.

THAT's why many cruises touch one non EU Port (my next cruise will go to Kotor) and even though all other 10 ports are EU it does not meet the 100% requirement and will not be taxed.

  4. The cruise I am going in August is now 330 euros cheaper than when I bought.

The value of the classic package for two people for the number of nights I am sailing is 1100 euros aprox.

It's not free. But for me good enough.

  5. There are changes listed in the Celebrity website:

With inviting entertainment and great music, Gastrobar offers an atmosphere of casual sophistication. Become a part of the movement, satisfy your curiosities, and indulge in the innovation.

    Slush

Cocktails range from Russian Standard Vodka, Limoncello, fresh pressed lemon juice and raspberries to Hendricks Gin, fresh cucumbers and mint, fresh Persian lime & Florida Valencia & Hamlin orange juice, all balanced with organic agave nectar. Several of the cocktails are also available in non-alcoholic versions.

Gastrobar seems like the replacement for cellar masters. Silk Harvest and the Hot Glass show are still listed
