1.
Yes, they would be old enough for Blue Hole. That being said, Beaches OR is a fantastic resort for kids. The waterpark is awesome the be beach is small, but pretty with nice swimming. Pools, restaurants are all geared toward kid stuff.

It's about 30 minutes from the cruise port, so depending on your port times, I know that place can be expensive. It's pretty and fun though.

The question is, would your daughters like to do some sort of Jungle adventure, or swim at a waterpark.
Thank you mrsfussmo.

I think we are leaning towards Blue Hole. We are on NCL Getaway and there are already slides on board. Also, when we get to Cozumel, we plan to visit one of the all inclusives there.

Blue Hole here we come. I think we are looking at Liberty Tours.

Thanks again!
2. We will be traveling to Ocho Rios in November the week of Thanksgiving. I have been to Ocho Rios before and decided we don't want to wing it on our own while in port.
Our daughters are age 7 & 9 and good swimmers.
Would Blue Hole be appropriate for them? We are trying to decide between that or a day pass to Beaches Resort.
We are open to any other suggestions also.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
3. I am interested in one of the drink packages on RCL Freedom of the Seas for our November 2014 sailing. I was online yesterday and I was able to purchase the drink package for only my husband. We will all be in one family balcony stateroom (Myself, husband, and 2 children) so I was wondering if I would also have to purchase a drink package for them?

Also, we have signed up for the late seating at dinner. I believe the shows start 7 PM. Is this correct?

My daughters are 6 & 8. I am not sure how they will be able to sit thru a long dinner after long days at the pool and beach. How long does dinner generally last? I want to try and respect the other patrons at dinner. My kids are very well behaved, but I want our table mates and surrounding diners to have a pleasant dinner.

Thank you for your advice.

4. My husband, 2 daughters (age 6 and 8) will be traveling to St. Maarten in November. We were here last year and spent the day on a semi-private boat excursion with Captain Bob. We had a wonderful time last but are looking for something different and maybe sneak in a little shopping. We are looking to spend a day at the beach to have a few cocktails, lunch/snacks and maybe go paddling with the kids on kayaks or paddleboards. Which beach would be best?

Both of our kids are active and good swimmers.

Any advice is appreciated. Less than 4 months to go!!!

5. Hi y'all,

I am traveling with my family of 4 which includes our 2 daughters (age 6 & 8). I booked a cruise with RCCL Freedom of the Seas via a club warehouse travel site and the only choices for dining were the 8 PM seating in the MDR and My Time. I have not traveled with RCCL before. In 2013, we traveled on NCL Epic and there was no designated seating or time and we prepaid all gratuities so this is somewhat of a new experience for me.

I went ahead an chose the 8 PM MDR seating but I am now re-thinking it.

-Will there be enough time to catch the earlier shows and then go to dinner?

-How are gratuities paid? It appears you pre-pay if you choose My Time. If you choose the MDR, do you just pay at the end of the cruise?

-If we choose to eat in Windjammer all week and maybe a few specialty restaurants (Johnny Rockets, Chops, Portofino) along the way, is this frowned upon? I don't want any of the waitstaff to feel slighted because we didn't eat in MDR most of the week.

And going to the late shows can be hard on the kids so arranging a fixed dining time may have been the wrong decision. Our kids did not really enjoy the kids club on Epic, we are hoping for a different experience on RCCL.

Thank you in advance for any advice/tips you all might have.

6. Does anyone have any experience with the iConcierge App on the Epic? I have searched this and found very little feedback. I am aware of the $8 fee to use the messaging/phone feature if we choose to use it.

Can you book restaurants with it? Excursions? Supposedly, the wifi is free on this app. I was wondering how it would block out other apps from using the wifi. I know I plan to turn off all cellular data and roaming so I don't incur a major cell phone bill.

Any advice/feedback on the app is greatly appreciated.

We leave on Friday afternoon....party on! :)

Cheers!
