We got the blanket on the April 15 sailing of the Carnival Horizon.

I'm always surprised by the lack of a bourbon selection on Carnival. As stated they have a few of the big names, but don't offer any small batch options.

I've done it on the Pride twice. First time, there were wine ninjas. There was 4 attendants and they would sneak up and refill your glass without you seeing them. So you never really know how much you drank.
The second time I did it, there was only 1 attendant, and was not as stealthy as before, but the wine still flowed pretty easily.
I love party's with "wine ninjas"! My wine glass is always full and by the end of the party I'm a happy camper!

Seems like I read somewhere that the Carnival Panorama will be going straight to Long Beach with no European cruises. The Vista did a Summer of cruises in Europe, the Horizon is only doing a month, and now the Panorama appears to be doing none. I guess Carnival doesn't make enough money on European cruises.

We have booked Joe Banana Limos for our shore tours in Rome, Florence, and Naples. They provide a 50 euro per booking discount for booking all three ports with them.

We are on the second sailing and can't wait to see some of his shows! He is the only cruise director I can remember. He is so funny.

Has anyone used the AT&T International Day Pass for a Med cruise? I'm looking at using this on my cruise next month. For $10 a day I use my normal plan to make calls and for any data used. Am I better off with this plan or getting a new SIM card for my trip?

We are on the second cruise of the Horizon on April 15 and can hardly wait! This will be our second European cruise. Enjoy your cruise!

Received a call from Carnival to upgrade from a FH Ocean View to a FH suite for our Carnival Horizon European cruise. The representative made it sound like a deal but I thought it was a bit pricey. The offer to upgrade was $1400 for 4 people. We only paid $3800 for the cruise, port fees, gratuities, and insurance. I thought paying over 25% more was a bit much. I told the representative thanks but no thanks.
What do others think?

We traveled with our 13 month old daughter. I agree with what the others have said. Plenty of diapers, a small inflatable pool for the shower, and a slim stroller. We had no problems finding food we could feed our daughter. I know your child is younger, but still should have no problem finding food that will be suitable for your little one. Enjoy your cruise and by hopefully by the time your little one is grown they will be a platinum or diamond cruiser!

Walk on the ship and straight to the Lobby Bar for a drink or two!

I believe it has to do with money also. I guess the Vista spending the Summer in Europe didn't work out; so the Horizon is only spending a month there. The good news is I'm on one of the sailings!

I've never had a problem getting two drinks.

We love the Sea Day Brunch, and go every day they have it. I too love the huevos rancheros. Get them at least once every cruise.
-
I hope they still have them every night. I really like the Spring Rolls. I would have them most nights.

On which deck is debarkation when you exit the ship?
Are you referring to debarking for a port call, or debarking at the end of your cruise. Port calls are usually on deck 0. As the other cruiser stated you debark at the end of your cruise on deck 3.

Has anyone heard of or stayed at the Holiday Inn Express : Barcelona - City 22@? It is in a neighborhood and not close to La Rambla, but since we are only staying there for a night before boarding our cruise we thought it might be ok. Looks like plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We are also a party of 4; parents and 2 kids. When I've looked online it seems to be that a lot of hotels don't cater to families, but this hotel has family rooms. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?????

I too live in the Boston area, and depending on the age of your grandson the Children's Museum may be a good option as well. You also can't go wrong with the Museum of Science. We are members there and enjoy going several times a year.

We are excited to go on the Horizon for one of the European cruises. We are in a Family Harbor Ocean View room. Will be interesting to see how that room compares to the other along with access to the family lounge. I'm on the April 15 sailing and not a lot of activity so far for this sailing on the role call section.

All of them! :D

I found I really enjoyed the Jamaican coffee on my last cruise with Cheers.

I just checked for our Carnival Horizon cruise next April and they only offer Jack Daniels and SoCo. Not the best choices, but I guess Jack will be my best friend for the cruise!

344 days until we head to Europe on the Carnival Horizon!

I just got confirmation my shareholder credit was processed for my cruise on May 8th. It took me several calls and emails after my initial request was made. I've had the same problem two years in a row. After submitting my request I get the response from Carnival that my shareholder form wasn't legible. On one of my calls regarding this I found out they scan the document into their system. I'm surprised they had the same issue two years in a row. I got the direct email of one of the employee's, scanned the document myself and emailed it to her. Within 15 minutes of doing this I had the credit in my account.
I also got an on board credit when I purchased my cruise and had no problem getting my share holder credit.
