We've been to Tropicante several times (with Steve running) and also went in late July 2021 under Carolina's management.  Same great location and service.  Menu is reduced (I loved the Iguana Eggs), but that is understandable with the slower business.  There were more locals around when we were there, but were the first ship to allow passengers out of the port.  FB message option goes to WhatsApp and they have always been very resposive to any questions I had.  Will be back there in a couple of weeks and plan on returning.

Same here.  I used them many years ago for a private tour and was completely satisfied.  Can't get a response now. 😞

I've done the same tour with Native Way Watersports years ago.  Recently tried contacting them to arrange another one, but haven't heard back from an email sent a couple weeks back.

Thank you for the post!  Sailing soon also on a 10 day Breakaway.  Did you use NCL's app for communicating with other cruisers on board?  I've been trying to figure out what the options are, the cost and reliability of it.  Can you book shows or make dining reservations through the app?

I was denied twice on the beach break in Progresso. First time I think they said the time frame wasn't the same, although the transportation took longer for Carnival's, so you had the same time at the resort. The second time they said the resorts were not comparable. When I disputed this, they said the Carnival excursion resort offered tennis courts and mini golf. Not sure most people would be interested, but I finally just cancelled the tour through Carnival and went with a private tour guide and enjoyed the day visiting multiple locations. Several others in my group did go with the Carnival beach break and they said it was ok, but wouldn't do it again.

Just want to thank everyone that has posted with their experience. We typically do our own thing at ports due to cost, so I've been wondering how true Carnival's Best Price Guarantee works. I had looked a bit into the dolphin swim program and couldn't find it cheaper once we factored in transportation. nydney1, I'd love to hear if you got the All Inclusive Beach Break. I can handle the 35/25, but not the 80/70 from Carnival.

I've been in contact with Daniel, but he's very slow to respond with our upcoming departure. We are wanting to go to his place and then a beach with good snorkeling from the beach. From what I've researched West Bay is the best for the beach snorkeling. We leave this Sunday on RCC and will be at Coxen Hole I think. Seem's Daniel's Place is east of port and then West Bay is on the other end. Anyone know how long we are looking to Daniel's place from port and then from his place to West Bay? Trying to figure out if it's doable time-wise without feeling rushed. He had offered to bring us to Parrot Tree resort, but it doesn't seem like there is any coral around the beach area.

Thank you IslandGallery for the info! We are also travelling with 2 children (5 & 9), so this is very helpful. We went with Bodden last time and enjoyed the beach by Bananarama, but a pool would be a plus. I'm off to see what the day passes run.

Thanks the review! I take it you did Sabor for lunch? I had read somewhere the cost is cheaper at lunch than dinner. We would like to try it in a couple of weeks. Any comments on the cost?

Thanks for the review! We leave Easter Sunday. We have 2 girls - just turned 9 and an older 5. They would LOVE to be together, but the other RC ships we've been on have different rooms for the different ages and would not allow them to be together. I expect they will have more children this week than on your cruise. Any idea if they are allowing them to be together - at least for the after hours party?

Thank you for taking the time to post this great, thorough review!! I had been looking at the spa cabins, particularly the ocean views or interior and your review sold me. :) There had been no Spa OV available for the sailing I wanted and then one popped up, so I grabbed it as quickly as possible for my family of 4. I always mean to do a review, paying it forward but tend to get busy once we return back from vacation and get into the routine of "life". Thanks again! Loved the tip about the scrub option to try out the spa amenities also!

We will be on the Jewel next weekend with a different itinerary. Would love any tips for the ship!
