# of Formal Nights on Opera

Does anyone know how many formal nights there are on the 7-day Opera cruise? We just got our tickets for the 1/29 Eastern cruise, but they did not indicate how many formal nights they had.

7-day: 3 formal nights, others 'neat casual'

The dress code in the Daily Program was 2 "Gala" nights, 4 "Casual" nights, and 1 "Tropical or Casual" night. Enjoy your cruise! :)

MSC's definition of 'formal' and/or 'gala' appears to be a little different. I am not dragging my tux along: dark suit and tie seem to be 'appropriate' for the 'formal' nights.

Just got back from an 11 day cruise- 3 Gala nights. Would guess that there would be 2 on 7 day. Suit was fine or even a sport jacket. Seemed a lot more casual than other ships I have been on. You can where a tux but most wore a suit.

just got back from 7 day opera western carib and there were 2 formal nights (suits were fine) and the rest casual (golf or polo shirt and slacks for men). good luck and enjoy the wonderful vacation!
