i am sailing on the qm2 in july, and was wondering if they charge your room account automatically when you board for tipping and how much is the tipping daily for a person traveling solo! thanks!!

According to the QM2 brochure from a local cruise travel agent, automatic tipping of $13 a day is added to your account if you have Grill Restaurant accommodations (cabins in Queen or Princess category) or $11 per day for all other accommodations (balcony, oceanview or inside cabins). That takes care of your cabin steward, dining room waiter, etc. For bar services, a 15% gratuity is automatically added "for your convenience". Hope this helps.
