San Diego - Hampton Inn Downtown

We are considering staying at the Hampton Inn Downtown (marina/harbor) pre-cruise in San Diego. It seems to be quite a bit less expensive than Holiday Inn On The Bay, but I'm wondering if any of you have any positives or negatives you can share on the Hampton Inn Downtown.

While I have NOT stayed there - as I live here in beautiful San Diego, I did drive by and checked it out.

The hotel is about 3 blocks of the cruise terminal - it is fairly new. It has high speed internet and a shuttle to the cruise ship and to/from the airport. It is located at 1531 Pacific Highway, which is 1 block east of Harbor Dr. – which is where the cruise terminal is located.

It is near the Amtrak Station, but you should not hear any noise from the train.

Hampton Inn’s rates are generally from $119 to $159 per night (continental breakfast included) - (619) 233-8408.
